I live in Gainesville. Just found your vlog and it's June. Welcome and Go Gators💕 I would stay away from the college campus. There is crime in that downtown area and honestly, I would not recommend that area at all. But I am glad you found the apartment and I think Ernie will be happy there. Welcome to Gainesville and it looks like he will be 10 minutes from where we live. Happy anniversary!

I live in Alachua County, about 20 miles from Gainesville! I’m in town several times a week. lol St. Augustine is my favorite place to go in Florida. So much historians beautiful as well.

My daughter, husband and new granddaughter live in the next town from St. Augustine. They love going at Christmas, the music and lights and the trolley looks for Santa. Luckily for me they are moving to Maine in March to be closer to us. He’s from Gainesville, so it was interesting for me to see his hometown.

Gainesville, the childhood home of Tom Petty and Saint Augustine the oldest city, which is quite beautiful ❤My son lives in Fort Lauderdale and he and my daughter-in-law come up here for my birthday every November❤they are trying to get a second place up here so he’ll be closer to me. One of my granddaughters just graduated from Florida Technology in Melbourne. She graduated early in December. Praise God I hope the project for Ernie works out so he’ll be close. May God continue to bless your marriage love and hugs for me and Otis in snowy Massachusetts🥶

My oldest daughter had a beautiful home in ST. Augustine. She had her three children there. She had sold her home and moved to NC. Her heart is in ST. Augustine, she hopes to return there after her children finish high school. I spent many weeks there while she was on bedrest during her pregnancies. It is a beautiful place for sure. Downtown is full of history, great restaurant's overlooking the ocean. Enjoy your stay and safe travels. What does your husband do for work? Curious.
I live just a little bit north of you if you’re in Gainesville now I used to work in Gainesville but then in 2020 my job went remote so now I don’t get to Gainesville as much. but if you’re looking for a good gym, you might want to check out Gainesville health and fitness that used to be really good. The last time I was there was 2020s so don’t know if any downsizing or anything like that happened during Covid, but it was a really nice gym, and if you like arts and entertainment go to the hip, it was that big building you drove past in the old area. It kind of looks like a courthouse in away and one of the oldest elevators in the state is there they have a lot of Broadway plays.
Enjoy your trip!!! My daughter goes to UF. Any apartment close to the school will be full of kids. I can't imagine being in the same building as the kids...Btw, what does your husband do??? Many blessings for you both.
Gainesville is wonderful plus you are so close to so many places. My husband and I just moved to Jacksonville from Miami. My other kid is at FSU in Tallahassee, now we are much closer to both. If you ever visit, maybe we can explore together.
