      Japanese will just use tuna and roll - that's Tekka Maki (Tuna roll). :)

    Delicious! I love the combination of subtle sweetness and tangy (like certain specimens of apples). Can this be called a western adaption of traditional Japanese sushi? I read that Siracha originated from Asia but the condiment is widely popular in American fast food joints (from Wikipedia). Thanks!

    • @justonecookbook
      @justonecookbook  7 років тому +1

      We don't have or use Sriracha in Japan, so this is definitely NOT traditional Japanese sushi rolls (just like California Rolls, Rainbow Rolls etc). :)

    If only I could get sushi grade tuna near me! None of the Asian grocery stores near me sell it at all :( Can regular frozen tuna be used instead?

    • @justonecookbook
      @justonecookbook  7 років тому

      If you're in the US, I recommended an online store in my blog post. If the frozen tuna is meant for sashimi (a lot of sashimi is frozen and defrosted at the sushi restaurants), then yes, but you can't eat regular frozen fish from freezer... :)

      Winter is almost over. :D I think I'm done with pressure cooker recipes for this season until next year.... ;) Thank you for watching! I agree, I didn't need a pressure cooker, but my life got so busy as kids grow up and my workload increased... so I made a space for a huge kitchen appliance. LOL.

    You used Japanese rice for the sushi? I heard that Japan never exports their rice.

    • @justonecookbook
      @justonecookbook  7 років тому

      Oh! What I meant was to use Japanese brand short grain rice (arborio is short grain too), and not long grain rice etc. And we actually can buy Japanese rice from Japan. I just shared it on my Instagram: instagram.com/p/BQ5wIXCDT-g/
