Its very interesting that you decided to go for the thick sushi slices instead of the thin, but anyway thank you for all your wonderful videos!
I am completely amazed by your editing. You give so much attention to detail. I love how beautifully audible all these discreet kitchen sounds are. Thank you Yoshiko-san! I think once you try making it, you'll be shocked how easy it is! Don't put too much filling first. :)

I'm doing this on Tuesday.

Great recipe. This is a sushi preparation id like to try. How different is Japanese mayonnaise from what we're familiar with? Thank you for posting these videos.
www.justonecookbook.com/pantry_items/japanese-mayonnaise/ Hope this link helps! :) Thank you for watching my video, Jeff!
Oh, wow! This recipe looks quite simple. Love it! Will have to swap the spicy sauce for something milder since I can't really handle food that is super spicy. Thanks for sharing, Nami!
Japanese will just use tuna and roll - that's Tekka Maki (Tuna roll). :)
Nami, you are absolutely stunning and beautiful ! Love the video colors too :)
Aww thank you so much!
Delicious! I love the combination of subtle sweetness and tangy (like certain specimens of apples). Can this be called a western adaption of traditional Japanese sushi? I read that Siracha originated from Asia but the condiment is widely popular in American fast food joints (from Wikipedia). Thanks!
We don't have or use Sriracha in Japan, so this is definitely NOT traditional Japanese sushi rolls (just like California Rolls, Rainbow Rolls etc). :)
Namicool!
Hellloooo! :D
You are so prettyyyyy. 😭😭😭❤❤❤
Aw thank you. I was really ready to hear "how did you lose weight?" from many people..... What a difference it makes in a year...I've been eating a lot I guess. He he he.
Just One Cookbook I am honestly jealous of how you Japanese women are so flipping pretty 😭😍❤
That's very kind of you to say. I often get mistaken by other Asian ethnicity... :D xoxo
early squad where you at
(earliest i've ever been)
Oh my gosh! You're my early squad! How cool my channel now gets #NotificationSquad!! THANK YOU! xo
where I am in Australia we have lots of fresh tuna and bonito so I might give it a go.
how about doing seared bonito(yum) if it is available where you live?
your recipes are very nice. thanks.
Yeah I love aburi everything! www.justonecookbook.com/seared-tuna-aburi-toro/ and video here: ua-cam.com/video/4uWlqqn0q-s/v-deo.html
great video. gave me the inspiration to buy some fresh bonito this morning and make some tataki.
If only I could get sushi grade tuna near me! None of the Asian grocery stores near me sell it at all :( Can regular frozen tuna be used instead?
If you're in the US, I recommended an online store in my blog post. If the frozen tuna is meant for sashimi (a lot of sashimi is frozen and defrosted at the sushi restaurants), then yes, but you can't eat regular frozen fish from freezer... :)
My kind of dish but my Publix food store here doesn’t have the seaweed paper or sticky rice.
I love your recipes, but I really wish you had more recipes that don't use the pressure cooker, and I don't have one and don't have the space for one.
Winter is almost over. :D I think I'm done with pressure cooker recipes for this season until next year.... ;) Thank you for watching! I agree, I didn't need a pressure cooker, but my life got so busy as kids grow up and my workload increased... so I made a space for a huge kitchen appliance. LOL.
Whats everyone’s favorite dipping sauce? I like a sweet + thick soy sauce
Vinegar, soy, touch of sugar, garlic and a touch of sesame oil 🥰
You used Japanese rice for the sushi? I heard that Japan never exports their rice.
Oh! What I meant was to use Japanese brand short grain rice (arborio is short grain too), and not long grain rice etc. And we actually can buy Japanese rice from Japan. I just shared it on my Instagram: instagram.com/p/BQ5wIXCDT-g/
HAND HELD?? 🙄😒
