- Ghost perform "Satan Prayer" off of their 2010 debut album "Opus Eponymous". Recorded live @ Roskilde Festival in Denmark on July 1st, 2011 at the Odeon Stage.
I hear black sabbath, saint vitus, blue oyster cult, hawkwind, even some of those hippie bands from the 60s and 70s. great sound and very left of centre by todays thick metal, double bass and scream standards. my new favorite band
Finally a metal band that is DIFFERENT! Don't get me wrong I love typical death/thrash/doom metal as much as the next guy but it is great to hear something new. Hope these guys put out more albums.
Great band and music. The best performance and concert this year.. More of that. Would have love to see them on Wacken, but im sadly not there..

Does anyone know what guitar the ghoul to the singer's right is playing? (Not the guy that plays the solo, he's got an SG.) I've never seen anything like that.
So, it have to be complex to be good? Did you know that The Beatles didn't know about music theory? And guess what? Is one legend right now, although all of their song aren't that good, are music hymns.

Yes, but they don't stay in character all the time, just in stages and interviews. They're a theatrical band, metal and theater, nothing new in metal, is just like a modern version of something we've already seen.
No it just has to have something that sets it apart. The Beatles did a great job setting themselves apart. Fantastic band. However the Ghost, although they have gotten better as musicians, I feel like the only thing setting them apart is that they wear costumes and put out their message of Satan while playing rock music.
