This was used as an RAF recruitment film FYI. The Tornado GR.1 I also played on “SFMC” in the Cold War section where BL-755s are best for ground attack.
Watched a jaguar lob a very big bomb above (a long way) the Faraid control tower onto Garvie island - a VERY impressive explosion right in target was the result.
Endless preparation, training and readiness. Endless trillions spent designing, building, maintaining and operating these machines. And doing so for decades and decades and decades for a war not that never came. Can you even begin to fathom the collective wealth and high-quality lifestyle we all could have if we had diverted those resources to ourselves instead?
You'd quite likely live under soviet rule - and that means having no wealth, no freedom and often not even your own life. Know something about that and I definitely do not miss those ##### times.
@@mungo7136 No I wouldn't quite likely live under Soviet rule. I'm speaking purely hypothetically, not realistically. I'm just saying imagine if it wasn't in our nature to kill one another and therefore not have a perpetual need to defend ourselves from one another? All that money that goes into our weapon systems and human resources on both sides. Can you imagine the quality of life we all would have? Can you imagine where we would be technologically by now without that monkey on our back?
Sadly it was music specifically composed for that recruitment video by Christopher Gunning Couldn't find anything else regarding these two songs so I think they're likely lost in time
Legend has that they are still trying to defeat that island to this day
Garvie Island.....One of the RAF's most valuable assets :)

Pull up to toss bombs. And use of the term "laydown". No, they weren't practicing a nuclear mission. Not...at...all.
Yeah. Totally not training to lob nukes.
What had those seabirds done to upset the RAF ?
They know what they did.
Nasty things sea gulls. They steal your chips.
Crashed into some windshields or got sucked into some air intakes, I'm guessing.

The literal opposite of dive bombing... only posible with modern technology 😂
Song name anyone?
It sounded like something the composer of the theme for _Space 1999_ would've written.
