the other day was my 22nd birthday and i had a party with my friends, at some point my friends asked to put one of my favorite songs and i put this one. I sang it has hard as i could and god knows that's one of the happiest moments i have ever had. Thanks sunflower bean for being part of one of my favorite moments.
The band is my new obsession. holy smokes. I love everything about it.
I really like the lyrics in this song. Also I appreciate the camera they used for this video. It looks sort of like a video from the 80s or 90s and I think it looks better than most over produced music videos today. That also applies to their sound as well. Their music has always sounded authentic and never overproduced. One of the main reasons I keep coming back for more. I love sunflower bean!

i love it when artists mention what year it is haha you see it in rap all the time. Really makes it even more of a time capsule.
They asked my bunch a similar question back in about 1990 when grunge was just starting to happen and we had the exact same answers. They could have asked the same question in Victorian England and they'd be like "Forsooth, Boomer"
I really like their videos, their songs and sounds, I think this a real, honest music. If you want to listen something truthfully different you have to listen a band like Sunflower Bean. We have great music out there just we should look for it well.

Funny... about 1984 I had a vinyl LP by Alphaville. "Forever Young." (Actually "the Jet Set" was my favorite track, though). And thanks to vox pops in this video, I see that being young in 2017 feels pretty much the same as it did in 1984. Love this band, one of my new faves. And to everyone who's down on the lyrics.... meh. It ain't Dylan. So what? They're doing their thing and saying their piece.

Buster McNutt I agree. It goes in cycles and the labels are the ones that ruined rock. They'll do it with rap and I hope soon. There are great bands out there, especially in Australia, Scottland, Ireland and England.

You want rock? Check out something beside Coachella if you come to my Valley. The Hood in Palm Desert for rock and not just pop rock like this but the real thing, punk, metal, some brand new and some bands have been playing 20, 30 years. So much good music but not anything you see on tv or hear on the radio ( ok, you hear on the local desert radio ). But rock is definitely alive. And very much underground.
