@@zx8401ztv Funny thing the one i took off had the rubber like cover on the end that is supposed to help keep oil out , but new one did not. Fix the oil leak would help too , but on a lot of these people spill lots of oil when changing oil and it runs in starter . Hope this one last as long as the rest of the car will. .
Hardest part is jacking this one up . But at least they give you enough metal under there to easily place the jack. Some starters are a real pain to get to. Thank you for stoppin in and commenting
Only thing that could of made it easier would be if i did not have to jack it up . lol Wish they were al as easy . Thanks for stoppin in and commenting
Smashing job terry :-D , That new starter really shows how bad the old one was.
What a difference !.
Yea the oil is not good on them . At least it is an easy one to replace
Oil saturates the carbon brushes, no wonder it was ill.
It needs a plastic splash sheild if the owner wants it to last as looooooong as possible lol.

@@wtbm123 I think that new starter needs a Umbrella or two :-D
Good job Terry, you have them back on the road again.
Yes and lucky it was a 50 degree day and not below freezing
Fantastic job Brother 👏 very informative. 😊
Thanks 👍
Happy customer 👍 I'm thinking you could really use a hoist eh :)
Got that covered , Just no place to install it here.
I changed a 2007 about 5 years ago. Easy compared to a Nissan 5.6 or Tundra or a Lexus LS400.

I had an 89 Chevy pickup that was hard on starters. After the second one, I cut and lengthened the wires to make it easier.
Lucky this is a pretty easy one . On some it seams like you have to take the whole car apart .
Oh the joys of being a DIY. But when the work is done and your work fixes the issue, all is well.
So far so good . Thank you .
That wasn't too bad at all. Nice job
