Thank you for the complete interview. @29:00 -- Great to know that Ma'am is a classical Dancer. And she is an Organic Farmer too Awesome. India has got 8 classical dances. Its part of the Natya shastra Written by Muni/Rishi Bharatha. Its an art/Yoga in itself. The book is an Indian Civilizational encyclopedia for Performing Arts. Lord Shiva is the master of performing Arts. It was originally performed in courts of Ancient kings and temples as it was considered a divine art form. It was banned by the British in early 20th century. After several protests the ban was lifted and performances started outside the temples.
Modern Indian cinematic story telling techniques with song, dance, drama has its origins in Natya Shastra.
Lots of Indian actors like Kamal Hassan, Sridevi , Hema Malini , Jr NTR (RRR) are professional BharathNatyam dancers.
