I work in the factory in Swindon where they are built, and I would’ve driven this one at some point! As well as other limited edition Type R’s and the Boost Blue. Mad to think I’ve been in this car before you!!

Man that thing is absolutely gorgeous 😍! I bought a 2017 model not long ago with only 10k kms on the clock still in brand new condition and i absolutely love it, definitely the best car ive ever owned n i come from having golf Rs, older type Rs, an i30N n more, but the fk8 type R is a completely different animal love it

Yes I completely agree that out of all the performance cars I’ve owned this car has been the best one all around car.

No, it is double sided tape residue from the black/red carbon fiber interior pieces which he just finished taking off. At the time of the video he didn’t yet start to clean the tape off.

No prob, maybe more on his car later on. Yea he had the springs on his last Type R. Didn’t lower it much, maybe an inch or so

If he stays stock like he is planning on staying then yes, any other R with good mods can win in a race. At this point though the Limited Edition is not being bought to race. It's more about owning an icon. It's good he will drive it though, unfortunately others will just leave it in the garage accumulating dust.
