- Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are racing submarines on an underwater racecourse built by Moonbo! We have to build subs using only 2 thrusters for forwards thrust, but as many as you want for other controls. Who can build the fastest sub?

@12:20 yeah :-D If you build explosives inside the core of the sub, and an outer layer of thrusters and armor, if they shoot through the cardboard you can hit the explosives :-D

Did you ever saw the flying fish? Do like that, a underwater creation, that can go out of the water, and then can fly, or glide, for a time, and then go back to the water to finish the race.
Drowning while breathing, that's scrapmechanic for ya :)

And bombs do less "explosive damage" underwater because of the high pressure pushing against any shrapnel, so when they explode in real life most of the damage done is due to VERY powerful shock waves.
(Due to the elastic properties of water, the shock wave tends to be of shorter duration than in air, but with a proportionally larger peak overpressure.)

I remember at one point in time, you or one of you tested how buoyancy works in SM, and large areas of one material act as one object making it float unevenly, I think a good counter to that would be very time consuming but doing a 1/1 ration of bubble blocks and the 2nd most buoyant block making every individual block want to float making it more realistic

SM, you should try a combo evolution race. You pick a place to race to (or a race) with water, land, etc. Then, you are allowed to build ANYTHING. Cars, boats, subs, planes, hovercraft, etc.
For example, if you build a boat and win, will your competition attempt to make it fly, give it wheels to give it a shortcut, make it faster, whatever!

Yes, please do submarine battles! Better yet, sub vs ship battles where the ship can drop some kind of depth charges.
An idea for the sub battle:
Detachable neutrally buoyant shields
Day 22 of asking:
Make a MM were you try to get to a finish line. The other players skybomb redtapebots. The furdest or sortest race wins.
4 way sub battle! Invite Moonbo, John Bane, Squiddly or whoever as long as its 4 way!

12:14 is it just me but kan has an extra thruster inside for forwards propulsion when the limit was two and he already has two on the outside

In survival that would be like 500 component kits worth of thrusters there at the end :D
So did no one notice that when moonbo would have his boosters on to go up he would go faster? Pretty sure that’s why he won the race. When he would pitch forward he would rocket off and just blow everyone out of the water! Not saying he cheated but having his 4 boosters while he was pitched forward would definitely make him faster then everyone else

sub shooter would definitely be a good battle
So technically Moonbo appears to have 4 thruster forward movement, he got 2 forward ones on the front and vertical ones contribute to forward momentum when he's at an angle I think, like a helicopter

Multiplayer Monday suggestion: Everyone builds a course for a vehicle that can go anywhere, to challenge the vehicle that can go anywhere!!! Underwater, on the water, on the land, in the air, etc...
