I have immense respect for my parents but they are quite abusive like don't get me wrong, they always support me financially but I never get any emotional support, they get angry over small things and I often get scolded for no reason at all, I cant have a regular conversation without them losing their head. I have grown used to it but it sure makes me feel insecure all the time, I don't even have friends cause they believe having friends may turn you into some degenerate, worthless being idk. I acknowledge this may not be their fault may be work related pressure and all that(they have been like this since my childhood) but I am suffering from poor mental health now and I can't do anything about it. I often hear words like "You shouldn't have been born" or "I made a big mistake giving birth to you". There was no point of writing all this here, but I feel better sharing it.

I know life feels really heavy right now, and I can't fully understand how tough it must be for you. But from my perspective, it's more common than you might think-others go through this too. You must talk about this to your parents atleast mom or someone you can trust. If you don't share it now, it might make things harder later on.

39:21 in this part you can see that the neck of child is broken and in 6:10 part the doll even says that compared to other dolls this is a minor flaw which resembles to the end part where we see one kid in grave(buried alive) and other in fire(bured alive) which tells some kids had even worse.
I don't know how to express it but to think that someone made a game on a story like this which is even hard to even think of THAT TOO IN 2002!!!

Here's my story!
It all started when i was young. My father was an abusing person...he used to beat us for nothing and my mother always stayed quite enduring it all but for me it was enough. When i was 10 i had several suicidal thoughts (imagine a 10 yr kid thinking abt it) a lot of things happened at that year...when i found out that my mother have an affair with another guy...i fought for my mon but even she hurted me. I saw them doing those things not just once but thrice...i haven't said anything abt it to anyone nor i confronted my mother...i just want to believe that it's all a bad dream and when i wake up everything is fine...at the age of 14...i stopped talking to my father and bcz of that he has improved a lot but that doesn't erase what he did to her and me. i turned 18 this year, nothing special having anxiety, depression sometimes i get panic attack, that's all is left for me 🙂 i haven't told this thing to anyone not even my sisters bcz i think it will break their relationship...i still don't know why my mom did that...i know we had financial issues back then and that guy used to give me a lot of things but that doesn't change the thing. I still get chill thinking abt that particular scene...i'm feeling really relived that finally i can share this story to somebody! Guys whenever you become parents make sure they get atleast a normal life...don't let them go through what you have been in your life. Be strong 😁

The reason this is the only channel I watch regularly for gameplays is the way Shub not just plays the game but actually dives deep into the story and shares his perspective treating the games as Art and not just mere entertainment tools.

The foreshadowing is insane. The tilted neck, the cupboard not opening, the spell being the motel key, The father being the "red face. how red face created the doll...'. Also, I've heard that it's based on a syndrome which children face which has been depicted amazingly by the developer. Its said that the child creates an 'monster' aka the bad side of the parent in order to convince themselves that their parent is not bad.
ALSO GAME REC : play detention, I BEG YOU. Its based on taiwan during the war era and its an amazing story.

From what I could catch up from this Playthrough at the end , the scene when all the children were together , it was showing where their bodies were hidden (like for our main character he was sitting in closet and the girl was chilling in grave etc) Such a fun watch and a good game
the red head kid was sitting in the fire towards the end which leads me to believe that he was killed by burning in a fire either alive or just to cover up the evidence the kid with no clothes in the trunk was probably killed and put in the trunk to his the remains of his dead body and the girl in the hole was probably because she was buried alive when she died

You see those children one in fire , one in the grave and one in the back of a truck and lastly our main character in the closet. I think.. I think that's how they were killed by their parents and they end up with those objects they died in.. I am not sure but it does make sense
And that's the reason why they were searching for their parents like they said , maybe they also didn't want to accept the reality of their parents which made them stuck in the same loop as our character . And thus they are trying to regain their memories with their parents cause obviously they are kids in the end ... This is totally my thought about that scenario by the way the game was fabulous

It is the best storyline i have evr seen. Felt bad for mother. Like she worked hard for plenty food and even cared for child. At the end she loses him. This stoey shows bad parenting. Child deserves time and emotional support. The way father killed him was depression 😢😢 but that doll represent childern having fantasies and loneliness. I respect bbs for appreciation of game. Child rested in peace. The mother will remember her son every day😢😢. Just marvelous. A lot of morals and yeah it can be child imagination too after death or before death cuz he was physically abused. In reality may be he died and imagined all things or in reality actually he helped mother after death

As someone who has abusive parents and had this kind of childhood (not at levels this extreme but less) this game just freshened some old memories i didn't want to remember. Anyways its a very nice representation of how some children have a harder and more difficult life than others and society doesnt pays much attention to these situations.....

1)It was said in the story that redface took the kid's father and mother away from him because his drunk father took his son's life so he separated him from his parents
2) the kid has the disease to hallucinate things , he hallucinates the alcohol bottle thumbing on the table as he has seen his father drink like that multiple times
3)we can see in that one scene the father in a bad condition repeating 'please don't punish me' while lying on a bed this represents that when gets sober in that motel , he does not want to go to jail and is scared
4)the doll says that 'my master has made me' the master is the father and the tilted head is because of how he beated his kid and made him that way
5)the position of the kids in the final scene represents the way they died

According to me, the father is the worst and the only mess in the story. For first he married the mom, he was her life and family. But after their son was born, their son was their family and was a resemblance of him. So I think what she did was for her son and her own, and that's right. You won't deserve a family if you don't consider your own. It isn't about being with another man, but a good man who would take care of your family. The children are the ones who resemble the entire family, both father and mother simultaneously.

This tells that the girl was buried in the graveyard alive, that kid was burnt in the bonfire, and the other kid was maybe suffocated or killed in the car trunk.
