I was definitely of fan of the pod. The relationship reminded me of me and my homies and how we rock. So to see him do his guys like that turned me away. It wasn't that i was fickle or anything like that. I followed them when they went to Spotify, when they left Spotify i had to get soundcloud to be able to hear them. I subscribed on patreon. All this to support real people but then u find out how narcissistic he is and the lengths that he's willing to go with his "friends" and i couldn't support that. Now I didn't think because i stopped watching and listening that he wouldn't survive. It's just that i can't support that type of action towards your guys
The more I go back in time and work from there to now, it's actually smoke in mirrors, he appears more successful than he actually is, he had ambitions of being a billionaire, but that's not gonna happen now. He destroyed the potential of this thing, and slowly over time this will fall apart. I'm already getting bored of this new shit, it's like the same episode every time and with all the oversaturation of episodes lately Im finally realizing how little he actually contributes anymore other than to criticize his co hosts. I'm kind of over it, meanwhile Rory and Mal are getting better

The Free UA-cam version benefits Joe more than the consumer because it’s still monetized. Consumer trades his time for money. I personally think Joe is saying it’s a gift and we should be grateful when it’s the other way around. People pay to see Mayweather lose so love or hate Joe if you’re watching to only criticize him and not give him props when he’s fair ….he’s getting the better end of it regardless. Then I started to mature even more in life, lol. When the Mal and Rory ish happened I looked at Joe and said "damn I'm a part of the problem!" All us fans that shrug our shoulders over all the years, did nothing but entitled Joe. We're the reason he speaks like this! "anybody that left wasn't a fan of me!" That is unequivocally false, Joe. I mean I don’t have all the info but it seems like Rory and mal thought how was stealing from them (they were wrong) when in fact he was paying them over market value with money they didn’t actually have since they didn’t have a contract cause joe was waiting for the right offer one that allowed the pod to remain the same without corporate meddling so Joe was doing everyone a solid but Rory and mal thought they deserved more now I’m getting this from the lost pod that happened when he officially fired Rory and mal on air but if this is the case then Joe isn’t wrong.

Lifelong (20+ years) fan of Joe Budden here. To put it into context, his music literally saved my life. That being said, the Rory & Mal split, because of HOW it happened is the EXACT reason I stopped watching JBP, and I JUST came back in the last couple months, and it still aint like it was. Ish and Ice cant compare to those two. ... So yes, Ish, youre correct. 💯👑

Great response Joe! I have been a die hard Eagles fan since the age of 9. It's been 40 years of rooting for them whether they win or lose. My favorite players were Randall Cunningham & Michael Vick. When they left, I still rooted for the Eagles & stayed watching because I am a fan of THE EAGLES, I just admired the players. Same with this pod. I started as a fan of Joe & I stayed because I am a fan of Joe. Much respect to the former co-hosts, but I'm here until you retire from this and go on to the next iteration of your genius. Much Love.

I stopped listening when they left, i did listen to Rory and Mals pod for a while but it still wasn’t the same. Both sides seem to be doing well but both lost out on their USP, their chemistry was special because they were genuine friends. Shame Joe ruined it like he does with every relationship in his lifr

Joe's mindset is: If you leave you were never a fan of me, you never liked me, you never cared for me, you never loved me. Dude will NEVER truly take accountability for anything. He'll cry, and say he knows he has issues, but deep down, he never truly accepts responsibility. Joe doesn't realize that a lot of his fans PUT UP with his nonsense because they were fans. They were never oblivious to his foolishness; they just let it slide. A lot of people saw the pod split as the breaking point and basically said enough is enough and stop listening.

I enjoy Joe in everything, was even a fan of his music I had all those mixtapes and songs from em burned onto CDs in the whip, no love lost I listened to for months. But maybe i didn’t Watch enough love n hip hop lol bc as much as I love to see what he does even if he seems completely psycho, that Rory and Mal shit made me look at him different bc I enjoyed the group chemistry. I resented Ice and Ish for a long time bc of the whole thing and that’s the reason I didn’t tune in, unless it was a topic I wanted to hear. But I’ve warmed up to them over time and it’s nice to hear Ish speak the truth here bc that’s basically exactly what happened to me. That shit didn’t come off my computer screen during the pandemic I just had old episodes playing back to back while I did shit around the house.

And after Rory & Mal started their Pod I started listening to them before ultimately coming back to Joe. Which was a easy decision Joe a Virgo and I’m a Virgo and how brodie thinks in the same way I do. But I do my best to catch Rory & Mal just cuz I wanna see them win too

I left and never came back. I was listening for his integrity since Joe Budden TV because I believed he was done wrong by the industry, but when I discovered his true character. I cannot listen to anything that comes out his mouth.

I have to agree with ish. I have been a loyal Joe budden fan from the 90s. Went to several of the live podcast shows went to several Joe budden concerts. And I have to be honest I stopped listening to the podcast when Rory and Mal left. And it's because that dynamic is what we were tuning into despite being "fans" of Joe. I tried to keep listening after the split and nothing against ish or ice bc they are great. The spark the energy the feeling that we got before was gone. Not to say something else didn't grow from it now but during the time of it was really hard to love the podcast anymore without Rory and Mal. The comedy everything was different. I will forever love Joe budden for his music and what it's done for my life and healing journeys but as far as the podcast I couldn't find that love and feeling that was there with Rory and mal.
In my case he’s right. I watched all of Joe’s podcasts and shows before and after Rory &Mal. He makes good content. I don't really care what side characters are on, as long as the show is good. Everyday Struggle, The Pull up, and the show on Revolt with Remy (the name escapes me).
I hated Rory bad jokes and mala lack of everything. How was so right those guys offered nothing. The dynamic the show has now with the new cast is better than ever and Joe isn’t angry Joe all the time he seems to be in a great place now

I get what he was saying. I was one of the people ice talking about. I was like I don't care who Joe sit with I follow for Joe.
So the people who listened to the pod from day 1 before Rory or Mal even became cohosts were selfishly receiving?? because Joe can't practice what he preaches?? If Joe was ever good at anything its been his way with words, for good or for bad. While Joe was talking paperwork throughout the Spotify debacle he should've been crystal clear with what the brand entailed business wise, splits and all to his cohosts who stated they requested paperwork. Joe should have been smart enough to have recognized or investigated how his cohosts viewed their ownership of the brand they represented with their names on the title of graphics. Joe as an owner of a brand didn't do his due diligence in establishing a complete understanding with his partners. Foul or misguided behavior I'm not sure but when Rory and Mal didn't show up it was over for me. Ish and Ice are cool but the chemistry from the original cast are unmatched throughout any podcast I've listened to. Joe was right when he said HIS fanbase didn't abandon him after they left. Some of us just can't entertain or respect that entire exchange. Love to all and RIP episodes 1-435.
