Beautiful country indeed. It's comparable to some parts of eastern country Australia here.I must visit South Africa sometime. What are the average speeds that people cruise on, on that particular motorway? I know the speed limit signposted is 120km/h, but I was trying to get an idea for trivia's sake.
+austprodriver If you have a good GPS, it can warn you where speed traps are located. It is not uncommon to see vehicles doing 140 - 160km/h. Most stay under 160km/h as anything over that may get you arrested
Sounds like similar motorway speeds to England (75-100 mph/120-161 km/h), but with Australian climate and UV/sun. The only place you see high speeds here is in the Northern Teritory, with a slow return to derestricted open roads (300+ km of the Stuart Hwy), and 130 limits on other open sections, that one of the former governments introduced. But the road toll skyrocketed by 61% when the 130 limit was introduced, from former open speed, pre 2007. In other states, we have too many 'Speed Kills' serial do-gooders that believe you're a serial killer if you break the speed limit, by any amount.
this is the country side my brother the major cities are war zones.if you wanna visit this country go to the countryside small little towns dont go to durban cape town or johannesburg you will see a hollywood movie there
@@vusumuzi_mathumo Can you please give me more info about that. I'm U.S citizen and there's a job opportunity (medical) outside Durban that i;m interested in. I'm also in talks with a South African (white) girl that is saying jobs are really hard for her to find. She's college grad. Life Is really that hard?
Heavenly driving, empty road and beautiful natural views.
Blue skies, green valleys...magnificent. Africa for you!
