exactly, they diesel so they all should have been relatively easy to figure out. they all have a pretty unique sound, especially the cummins
@@swinn5888 the new power strokes and duramax are both v8. And if you've not been around the new ones its hard to hear the difference. The Cummins is still an inline six. Lot quieter than old but still very distinct. Lol
Wayne Heath powerstroke and duramax have always been v8s not just the new ones. I have been around the new ones, they are not quite as distinct as they used to be, but you can still tell the difference.

Cummins is the easiest to tell what it is by sound. 6.6L (duramax)and 6.4L, 6.7L (powerjoke) sound similar. 6.0L (powerjoke) easy to tell. Typically a lot of turbo note in the exhaust. 7.3L (powerjoke) all motor. Distinct difference in 5.9L 12v (cummins) and 5.9L 24v. (Cummins)
