Your videos are soothing and satisfying for me. I think Because you are so mellow and seem organized. I love That you feed your family healthy, homemade meals. It’s seems like there is not much processed food there. Because of you and your sister, I also Am trying to eliminate processed food and make stuff myself! I have found that the homemade food has so much more flavor! Thank you for giving me a little peaceful break in my day. 😊

You can slice and freeze avocado when ripe. Also refrigerating ripe avocado will buy you a couple extra days.

It’s so much easier if you use your kitchen scissors to cut the bacon into pieces while it’s raw and then cook it then drain. I always prep about a pound for general toppings through the week and also bacon grease to cook with

I think that something i have been doing wrong is over complicating meals. I think that simplifying and only using wholsome ingredients is the way forward for many of us who get caught up in fads/diets ect. Also Lisa, I love the mayo/taco home made dressings, something most of us could easily do! Thank you so much:)

So many good ideas. My main concern is that I usually cook for myself only. I have no problem with eating leftovers, so I go ahead and cook extra so I won’t have to actually cook for a few days. I just mix my prepared ingredients in different ways. Cooked meat, baked potatoes, cut up veggies etc. My concern comes in knowing how long certain foods will last in the frig. The food itself is not really an issue, but things like bone broth or just chicken stock, bacon grease, salad dressing and such. I don’t want it to go to waste, so sometimes I just freeze it to be safe. That makes it more of a hassle to use. Any hints or ideas?

I have had the unpleasant experience of being served a partially raw egg at Ihop. I was very sick from salmonella poisoning. Very sick. Didn't last more than a day, but believe me... there are reasons to avoid raw eggs. I think if you take care of your own happy chickens & handle fresh eggs properly it is far safer than the eggs that may be sitting around in a store or restaurant. I still feel squeamish about ingesting totally raw eggs though.🤷‍♀️

Question Lisa, im new to the pressure cooker, i have just brought one and still a bit nervous about cooking times etc. Do you only ever put a fully thawed whole chicken in it or have you done it from frozen too and what would be the cooking times on these please? 🍗

How long do they all keep in the fridge. Like the hard boiled eggs and such. I have ocd so keeping things in the fridge is really hard for me but I really want to do it

Hard boiled eggs should keep quite a while in the fridge, a week at least, I would say. I hope you are getting help for your OCD and you can move forward, one step at a time.

#1 You should never store food in a cast-iron pot in the refrigerator for long-term
#2 when you cover your food with aluminum foil your food is touching the “aluminum” which in turn goes into your body.

I will be making all of these this evening. We are in a record breaking heat wave for British Columbia 🇨🇦. 39, 42 and 44 •c the next 3 days with 40 percent humidity. It’s too hot. Good thing I just stocked my freezer with 10 whole chickens. They were on sale for $4!

If you have a crockpot or instant pot, plug it in outside. On the deck or in the garage. That way you can keep your house cooler.
