In this video Rob myself and two othe Tasmanian Prospectors head in to see if we can find more Gold in the river that I call the river of records. I have beaten all previous gold hauls in this river twice now. Will the gold continue with many others making there way in the search and adventure is on to find more Alluvial placer deposits hiding in the bedrock. I hope you enjoy!!

So Rob was away for a week on a pack rafting trip and was unable to send me his weigh in of gold but incase your wondering he did 9.6g for the two days a great result even exceeding my own 😳 but whose counting right 😁

One of the parts that I love about your videos is how you capture the landscape you're in, and how truly breath taking it is. Another reason to get outside and explore was the main reason I got into prospecting, and I think you've captured that.

@@officialtassieboysprospecting The footage shows to me how remote you get back into, no roads, no buildings etc. I’m in Alaska and typically head up remote valleys and mountains and Tasmania reminds me of that.

Love love love yer vids yer doin down there, mate. It’s hard, it’s cold, it’s remote, and it’s sketchy, but you and yer pals are down there inspiring SO many of us! Work hard, stay safe, and do what brings you and so many others of us, however vicariously, the absolute and incredible joy of pulling bits out of ancient rock snags. I dream of coming down there and having an adventure or two myself. Getting rich pales in comparison to making a living doing something you enjoy and happen to have been born with the physiology to endure the challenges. Good on ya all around.

Another great video Levi! I'd go back to the river of records. You never know who else will find it and strip it before you get back there. And at least you know it has good gold. Maybe try for another river after that

@@officialtassieboysprospecting My little brother passed away summer 2018. I turned 49 that year. He was supposed to celebrate his 48th birthday that year but never made it. I have his pic on the fridge and say "what's up shit head?" every morning and smile. He would've wanted it that way!

I'm going with get a dry suit and stay at that river, it's the gift that keeps on giving and if you stay warm you can stay in longer. Loved the video and glad you had a great time!
I have a open cell suit where I don’t feel the cold at all but it’s harder to work in as it’s thick and I tend to work holder when I’m a little cooler to try and stay warm 🤣 sounds crazy but I always do better in the frog suit
There's a well known saying. Never leave gold to look for gold. Get back to that place for your half oz nugget. It's there somewhere. Gold is where you find it!👌💛😊

That's impressive Levi. I met you out at the river of records last week, and I did eventually find a bit of yellow, but using a small scoop to clear the gravel just doesn't work as well as a shovel! Keep up the good work.

nice call at 9 gram good gold the only way I would stop going back to the river is if the weather changed and it got to cold your health is more important. and thank you for sharing your life adventures I don't get out much anymore but i,appreciate what you do by sharing. you have a beautiful country and probably just as dangerous as well and time your outdoor life can change fast.

AWESOME video boyz👍👍 plenty of Glimmer down under in Tassie. Have you considered using a BLU3 Nemo, they are crazy light weight compact travel friendly and have swappable batteries you can dive all day with. I never leave home without my Nemo👍👍 see you on the next hunt💦💍👍

Christ almighty that's two grand for a freakin' kids floaty and a hose. I'll give that a pass. In through the mouth, out through the nose, and every hose is a goer for diving. Snorkling is fine anyway, they aren't THAT deep.

Another fantastic vid, Levi. Really enjoying your channel! Are they 3/2 wetsuits you guys use, or something heavier... lighter?
Robs in a 7 this trip I believe and I’m running a 5mm which I use in summer I still get a bit cold but I like it that way during summer I find it keeps me energetic and I work harder to stay warm also easier to maneuver in. I wear a 7mm open cell suit in winter and I don’t feel the cold only hands and feet

Hey brother, I think you'd massively enjoy getting you a little kiln and making your gold into a bar or bars! Nothing like holding your very own poured gold bar. It was just a thought and appreciate all your content it's really awesome. I would say go to a new river and see what treasure awaits you there :).

Stick with the gold ! I’m 66 as a kid my dad dragged me in to rivers all over tas the thicker the bush the slipperier the boulders the better, fishing! I would get bored find a bit of junk to use as a pan and get into trouble for frightening the fish apparently the yellow speck or two was one fools gold ! Love your show fished every river from the cam to the world

Another great gold trip Levi. You come across as an awesome bloke, willing to help and share all your hard earned knowledge to all and that is a great thing to do, but Im sure your mindful that gold does strange things to people . Ive seen best mates come to grief over this elusive metal. Being a good human, you will continue to share your knowledge, but sometimes keeping the odd spot to yourself is ok. This is hard to put into words without coming across as an arsehole because Im sure the crew you are taking along are also great people. Sorry for being a little negative but Ive seen patches found by ones self cleaned out by those you are being a good sharing human too. Take care out there.
Spot on. I was thinking the same. Without sounding not trusting of others. Sometimes business/money & friends work, but usually cracks appear. Gold is the same.
General prospecting I got no probs sharing some spots but I’ve shown a decent spot to a bloke I thought was a mate but now that spot is totally rapped & a mess...
Dead right mate, its the old fallacy of telling people you trust *_"you only tell only the people you trust, then they only tell the people they trust and so on, and in short order Everyone knows where the ruddy gold is"_* and somewhere down the line that includes someone who's less ethical, and that stretch of river will be dredged in a month if not sooner. One best mate is alright, but beyond that - not so sure.
@@1000000trs yeh that is very true this river has been no secret it’s been prospected by the old timers and ever since even been dredged it’s probably not had much sniping done but I think it’s a pretty good replenisher the waters that flow through each winter are phenomenal
@@Party-Marty yes it’s true this river hasn’t been a secret many have gone for years even been dredged I think it replenishes quite fast the rivers are extremely wild in winter months huge amounts of water through let’s hope 😳
@@officialtassieboysprospecting Oh, I see - I guess those pickers _are_ pretty smooth, and your bedrock's pretty "soft". That would be great if it replenishes nicely. You're lucky prospectors in TassieLand: I think only the really fine flood gold replenishes here in UK ;-(

Very nice! Don't know how much you like pick and shovel but I would like to see you dig a trench along that river without letting any water in and run a sluice box to see what's in it!
