I am from Peshawar, Pakistan 🇵🇰
Garima we also have an old baithak and mosque attached with each other which were build in 1919 by our forefathers in our village outside Peshawar. The thing I was shocked to see in it was Attached Baths tbh I was so happy to know that our forefathers were not even typical at that era of early 19s they keep the attach baths in each and every room of a large baithak build in 1919 wow. BTW your house tour was amazing really enjoyed this tour of nostalgic experience ❤️

In Ajmer-Rajasthan where i belong we call it "Jangla" what is called jaal in Delhi.
I can't recall but "Chajja" is like the window "awning" or shade above main gate made up of stone slab and concrete.
In Delhi, Chhajja is balcony. Jangla is the grill in the window. Jaal is what you saw in this video. An essential function of the Jaal was to let the foul air of the lower floors escape upwards... a process of ventilation... where good air would come in from the doors and windows of the ground floors, would be consumed by the people living there through inhalation, cooking, toilets etc., and exhaled through the Jaal.
In Punjab we call it MUG

Even my grandfather had a mansion like this. But we sold it. Now there is a market in its place. I miss it so much. I wish I had recorded a video or something 😒
Even my great grandfather had a big mansion it is even bigger than this house, but it was in ancestral village no body of our family lives there, so we renovated the house to better conditions and now there we have buit a very nice school (actually there were no good for higher secondary students)

My maternal and paternal great grand parents had almost same kind of Haveli or Kothi but in today's time it is almost impossible to maintain these buildings. I was so privileged to spend my childhood in these majestic buildings. As you were climbing stairs I could literally recall the musty smell and feel the same excitement..👌👍👍

It's looking really like a haunted haveli but it was not that . And it was a memorable thing for everyone especially garima Di ,her family and her social media family also means we are .
When I show this to my mom ,she tells that it really garima's old house 🏠 .she told this in a shocked and she tell this also that this is very beautiful . It's like a new haveli because the colour and everything of haveli looks like so bright in front of it .The design are old because it's before 100 years ago . But Di you are so lucky that you are born in that type of place

Even if u all are renovating it..the circular wooden colorful glass on top of doors , in ur ground floor baithak enterance , pls save it. Reuse it some where or may be as decoration pieces. Green, blue glass is so beautiful. Do not let them get destroyed. Its difficult to make some thing like them now a days.Even wooden doors , u can use as wall decoration or partitions.

Hamare ghar bhi late colonial Bengal me built kia hua hain... Hamare ghar bhi renovate ho gaya hain but kuch chise jaisa high stairs , switches same hain...aur hamare ghar mein bhi staircase k beech washroom hain aur chat me storeroom...amazing laga video.😍

My grandmother's (she had nine brothers and four sister all of them real) (four of her nieces and nephews were even older than her. She was youngest sibling) family also had such a house in Old Delhi. One of the brother used to live there when I was born but he died and property still is with their family but they don't live there anymore. I always feel such homes to be haunted for some reasons.
