Matt and Harry are definitely the Dad’s of the cast and Dom being Dom is the angsty teen adopted by Matt and Harry, and Em is the aunt everyone wants to be with as where Isiah, Kat and Alberto are the neighbors wondering why there is so much yelling in the house next door about Malec being the best ship (usually started by Matt)

I don't. I love him the same, but knowing he doesn't really like the books that he is part of bringing to life kind of hurts a little bit. I first fell in love with Alexander Gideon Lightwood when he finally admits to loving Magnus Bane. Then, when I read them all again, I fell deeper in love.
They aren't really bringing the books to life. It's just the characters and even then they're rewriting the characters to be less flawed. They were hardly there in the books as a couple, didn't talk through a whole book, just there in the background and had a toxic relationship. That is not what the show is bringing to life. I'm not shocked Matt isn't a fan.

@@falsegcd I don't think there is any official direct statements of him saying that he did not like the books (well, none that I can find), but it can be assumed that he is not a big fan of it. He only read the first book and he tends to argue with the logic of the books sometimes. I don't think he is a book lover/book worm in general, be does love the Dune audiobook and he actively promotes it

Em usually tends to accidentally tell too much. so my first guess it was that matt was poking her or doing smth with his feet to alert her to not spoiled too much.
but by matt reaction at 13:04, he seems genuinely confused (around 13:06, it seems that he even asked harry about what she was talking about), so maybe he wasn't doing anything and she was talking about alec doing something he's not supposed to do
