As always Steve, great video. Simple stuff explained well so that it is understood. Going into training mode is the place to learn stuff, but as for beginner players; other than practicing execution, you need a decent amount of game knowledge to be able to utilise training modes features. These videos help people with stuff that they just didn't even know about. Keep up the good work mate! 👍🏻
Love this one man dropped some mad protips there. Keep up with these helpful videos. You should teach an sfv night course and make some bank. You are pretty convincing
Great video, but it explains exactly what disappoints me about this game: the rock/paper/scissors mechanic with the wake up game. I'm definitely more of a casual lol
+Garrett Moss That is the BEST situation you can get. In this video Sajam did attacks timed on the opponent their wakeup that beats out a 3 frame light attack. If they don't quic or backrise you can simply walk/dahs next to them and look when they get up and do you well timed attack to start your offense. For instance with Ryu do st.mp. Next level would be cr.lp followed by st.mp. You've again conditioned the opponent to not press buttons after a cr.lp, so next time you would do cr.lp, throw. This concept can be applied with EVERY character in the game, you just have to find out what you cna get after different knockdowns. Go in training and find the knockdows after a throw, sweep or any special/super and see what you can get. SOme characters don't get much or anything after a throw unless the stayed on the ground. Cammy for instance cannot get anything after a throw so she has to work her way back in, however in the corner she has a terrifying throw game as it leaves her closer. Again, just take what Sajam showed in this video, try it with your on character and get creative. First is to stop people from pressing buttons so you can get a throw, now once you throw them a lot, they'll startpressing bttons which you'll beta with your normals and bait out the invincinble attacks for a massive punish. It's all extremely easy to figure out what the solutions are in this game, just think logically about it and go into trianing and actually try it out.
Great vid. Can someone explain to me how a move that is only 3 frames Necalli's jab loses to moves that have higher frames!? I can't wrap this around my head. wtf. slower moves can beat faster moves? so wtf am I lookin at frame data for then? wasting my time.
If a button is overlapping your hurtbox while in it's active frames (the frames after startup, where the hitbox it present, before recovery frames), pushing any button will result in you getting hit, because their button is already active while your jab is in it's 3 frames of startup (during which no hitbox is present).

I've just noticed Ryu's eye brows are over his headband.. LOL.
This a great little breakdown for those of us who just learned what being "Meaty" is.

Wow, this is really helpful. Thanks!
this is really well explained thank you! I JUST WISH I COULD CONVERT THIS TO NASH, BUT HIS WALK SPEED IS TERRIBLE AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO....
Yeah I hope they will buff him in 4.05 but you should not pick him as your main trust me ...
Now if only I had the reactions to hitconfirm.
Cool. Thanks for this.
I had no idea that people were still doing this
Sensei knows his shit

***** Thanks for the tips. I was previously trying to go for an ambiguous crossup afterwards but that requires some prediction. This was helpful.
AeolusMN Thanks for the tips, especially looking for the rise animation.
Any tips for back rise? I read the prima guide and it says you are more plus after a back rise but how much?
