Sandra..Greetings from America!!I have come a bit late to the party, so to speak but having heard some of your performances compelled me to write this. The song that BGKO perform bring back memories of my childhood, when my family was much larger and i was much younger...I am Croatian by birth, and when my father'srelativeswould get together,invariably the Croatian folk songs would be played. Sadly,my father passed before i was 2 so i had only home movies and pictures to remember him by..However, he was also a musician,and he played the stand-up-bass and the accordion,and that is the reason i have connected with your music...He left a library of reel-to-reel tapes, so i have an audio history of him and his music. I am prejudiced, but my father was good, very good. Seeing that the BGKO is well-versed in Balkan music, i have a suggestion:two Croatian folk songs I remember from my dad and the family were Mara Ima, Mara Ima, and Kad sam Bio u Banatu(My Croatian is a little rusty) If somewhere you could find some audio versions to listen to, I think you would be surprised that they might be a good fit for the BGKO..Apologies for being verbose,but again, thank you for letting me reconnect with my heritage...P.S. If the BGKO ever tours the U.S.,PLEASE stop in Cleveland, Ohio...M.R.

helenic music is most more musicological rich music in balkan,we will find a treasure trove of folk songs.rebetiko folk tradisionale.and polyphonic from epirus.
the boggest musician in world clarinet is petro lucas halkias with play in america with benny goodman.benny remains dazling..from petros.
