She has nothing to do with classical and whatever she is rendering it owes to Ustad Manzoor Ali khan the Tansen of sindh of Gawalior Gharana . Nothing of Shamchorasi gharana is visible in her rendering . very poor Tan flights . it is better for her to sing light music .
I have always thought of her as a powerful singer with range and great ability. Here she has fallen well short of the mark set by some even ordinary singers not to talk of the more notables who have sung this bandish.
I am sorry I disagree with you. Abida Parveen has developed her own style of singing classical music, and sings short pieces and bandishes instead of prolonged Khayals. Yet the quality and depth of her voice leaves many lesser singers wishing they had her talent and gift to move hearts.
