    Do you have any Classical art decks in your collection?

      I do have a couple Il menaghello decks. the Neoclassical Tarot and the Soraphino, but they are so gorgeous and special I have not really used them to read with as of yet. I bring them out and look at their beauty often. I am sure I will use them at some point. They are an exquisite work of art.

      I also was planning on a deep dive with Maree Bento’s Antiquarian Tarot in the Fall. I feel like that one will be a amazing deck to work with for ancestor work.

      I also have the Victorian Oracle from MPC so many cards. It’s Lenormand like, but I find it heard to work with though I love the images. The same for The John Waterhouse Oracle from Tarot by 7. Both no guide books. Do you work with either of these?

      Lastly, my favorite Oracle The Sweet Ladies from Celia Melville. It may have been your channel I found that one on. Love it so dearly ❤

      I have the Waterhouse Oracle and use that deck purely intuitively. Now you’ve got me curious about the Victorian Oracle. I’m off to check that one out.

    Thank you so much for putting this on my radar. I've been looking for a Tarot to accompany my Hellenic Oracle and this is PERFECT!

      My pleasure! I don’t know if I’m familiar with the Hellenic Oracle…I’m going to have to investigate 🔬!

    So beautiful this deck🌚🤍 mmmm thank you for sharing this! I wish MPC had a more useable search feature! Happy to know of this one now.. Completely don’t feel bothered by landscape images such as in Majestic Earth extra cards. Would love to have a guidebook listing the artist and painting and yes the details are so important. This deck would be lovely with a component of a large color full size book 💗 I love that it is linen cardstock and for me because I read very intuitively… leave the extra cards in my decks as each image has its own feeling and energy so let there be 2 moons!! This is now on my list 🌅

    As far as landscape format cards, they would be finicky for me to read with. But that’s not all I use tarot cards for. I think as altar art or pathworking or meditation deck, it would be lovely.

      Working with the Muse Tarot for an extended period of time after it came out helped me be ok with a few landscape cards in a deck 😉

    Beautiful deck. Love the linen card stock and the options for the major arcana. Agree the font could be better and having a guidebook to know the art and why the curator selected the art would be perfect. I am ok with the landscape cards and can see why the curator chose to depict each of these in landscape vs portrait. Perhaps providing a portrait option for these cards may work also. ❤️

    The only classical art deck I have is the "influence of angels," tarot (which has an amazing little guide book and was very affordable), and I have been considering the mass market "touchstone tarot". I do like this deck quite a bit, but not sure how much I would read with it given the landscape cards. It is more affordable than "beautiful rebellion" and I prefer its font/titles. I do think that at minimum the artist names and names of the paintings as well as correspondences need to be provided via a pdf download. I think that "time" card is likely an option for "death"?

    • @oldsoulmermaid1543
      @oldsoulmermaid1543  2 роки тому

      I also have the Influence of Angels deck and you’re right, it’s a beautiful and affordable art deck! Oh, yes… the time card could also be used for the death card! I’m hoping that a pdf will be made available someday.

    I love this...but me and old world decks! I have Beautiful Rebellion, Art Revival, I have a poker size OPP French deck I love I forget the name right now. Totally different art style, but also your speed. Have you seen Carte Postale Tarot? Mine is on its way to me and I can’t wait. Would love to know how it reads for you once you spend some time with it.

    Thank you, Bonnie (and Diana, the deck creator!). This is a beautiful deck! I completely fell in love with The Moon card! I think it's a perfect card for ritual. And I'm actually okay with the landscape images, even though I do not prefer it. This is an art deck after all!
    I am only on the fence on this deck due to the font being difficult to read, for many reasons (the color, small size and intricacy of the font). While that's not as important for a RWS clone, for example, we need to be able to read each card when it's not as readily apparent what each card is. I guess I am picky! With The Beautiful Rebellion Tarot all I see is that maroon color swatch that I feel is too much. And Enchanted Romance Tarot, I agree could be a lot better without the border. I think we all can learn from the Revival Art Tarot creator, who has done a phenomenal job with the unobtrusive yet easy to read titles.
    I hope this is seen as constructive and not to bash in any way at all! I know if I made a deck there would be something someone wouldn't care for! Kudos to those who forge ahead to make these decks a reality! 🌠🙏💕

    • @oldsoulmermaid1543
      @oldsoulmermaid1543  2 роки тому +1

      Oh, your input is completely constructive 😁. I have old eyes that require reading glasses when using all decks and in person there are truly only two cards that are hard to read. But for someone with weaker eyesight than I have, it could be a problem. I think it’s a tricky balance with these art decks because you want to use a font that suits and doesn’t detracts.

    Hi Bonnie, just went to purchase this and the link take you to MPC but the add to cart button isn’t there. Maybe it has been taken down? Also tricky to find it, so it seems. If you read this and have any more insights I would love to know how to find one. 🌞 Thank you in advance

    • @oldsoulmermaid1543
      @oldsoulmermaid1543  2 роки тому

      I just checked and it looks like it is not on MPC anymore. I’ll have to see if I still have the original email from the creator to inquire. I’m currently in the process of decluttering my decks and this one may be up for grabs at some point. I will let you know if I can make contact with the creator.

    Oh Bonnie this is definitely my aesthetic….it’s beautiful and that Strength card😍 and the cups suit 😍(I’m a Cancer) the landscape are so beautiful I like being shown the bigger painting….I may get for historical purposes but the landscape cards would keep me from using… I don’t use the Muse tarot very often because the Muse cards are landscape and that’s only 4 cards….🤔

      Isn’t it lovely 🥰! It’s so funny that you mentioned the Muse Tarot because after using that deck for a period of time, the landscape cards didn’t bother me. But I get it 😉!

    I don't have any Classical art decks in my collection. The only one I had and gave away is The Majestic Earth Tarot. With this deck I find some of the cards so beautiful and thoughtful but others just leave me cold as far as a tarot card and being able to read with it. Though I love walk throughs of these style of decks. The font on this deck is really hard for me to read, but I don't mind a deck mixed with landscape and portriat.

    • @oldsoulmermaid1543
      @oldsoulmermaid1543  2 роки тому +1

      Oh, The Majestic Earth Tarot! That one has eluded me! I have to say that in person, only two cards are hard to read with the Ace of Fire being almost impossible to read.

    I think it's a really beautiful deck, such lovely art choices, but the landscape cards would be a sticking point. I havea couple of decks with landscape cards and don't really use them all that often, sadly.

    While this is a beautiful deck and I understand the creator using landscape verses portrait for some of the cards it ruins the deck for me.
