9:00 The old one sounds the best no doubt, I wonder if it's because of age and usage, maybe new ones will sound like that too decades from now.

I know you said you had C47 installed on the DM42, but have you ever installed DB48x, and if so, what was your impression?
I only have the newer DM42n. Thinking about installing DB50x (which I think is the same as DB48x, but for the newer hardware).
Anyway, thanks for the videos. They are very helpful to me.

I do have the bezel for the DB48x, but it seems like it requires placing stickers on some of the buttons, which I’m not entirely sure about. Personally, I’d prefer using an RPL calculator similar to the HP 48SX-my favorite HP calculator. That said, I might still give it a try, just to see how it runs and explore its features.
One challenge, though, is that I’m not sure how to install the DB48X software. I’d need to spend some time reading and learning more about the process before I dive in.

@@cylurian Agree about button-stickers. I think Christophe recently did a final key adjustment, and if my memory is correct, only 2 keys are not as marked - so in theory you could get away with not putting on the stickers.
I don't have a 48S or SX, but I have the G and GX, and yes, if I had to pick only one calculator, my 48 GX would be the one! (I'm also fortunate that when I bought my 48GX new, long ago, I got a black screen version)

@@Quidisi It is so cool, to know that there are many of us who still think that the 48x calculators were great. Can't wait to see how the R47 comes out. At the moment I'm trying the db48x, and so far look 1/2 done - can't wait to see what they do.

I think that C47 and DB48 should unite with a Chinese brand to make a mass produced calculator compatible with all this projects, and make a cheaper development plattaform calculator

I'm surprised the Chinese haven't copied any of the high end HP calculators. I'm guessing for there is no market for it.
