Toast the bread , along with the crusts, add some bacon, swap cucumbers for lettuce , the tomato stays and we spell it MAYONNAISE! That’s a classic American sandwich 🇺🇸

In Germany we usually don't cut off the crust, maybe for little children or old people who can't chew well or when it's painful to chew due to toothache. It's seen as a waste of food. Besides that, the crust is the best on good traditional German bread. This is plain soft white bread and a very simple sandwich. You wouldn't make a German happy with that.
