- In this episode of Coin Quest: Nickels, we are coin roll hunting our 20th full box of nickels in search of rare and valuable coins to fill in our nickel collection books! At this point, we are down to just searching for old buffalo nickels, Canadian nickels, lots of silver nickels, and a few key date Jefferson nickels that we still haven't found yet. I couldn't have been happier with the results from this box! We got some great coins into the collection and a whole lot more. Stay tuned to see what we find!

That's cool! I love when that happens. I got 26 buffalo nickels in a customer wrapped roll. I was like 😮🤯🥳😎 11 of them were slicks. 🤷♂️

I hope in the future you will expand those nickel hunts. I finished up the 38-59 and went on to do 60- my birthday. Now I'm almost done with those. Great video as always.
That one nickel looks like someone tried cutting it in half with side cutters, but didn't have enough hand strength.
Might want to check those 39p nickels for a notched R on pluribus. It could possibly be a Henning nickel, which was a counterfeit and they are worth money. If it’s a Henning nickel, it will also weigh up differently.
How much does the counterfeit 1939 nichol weigh?
@@tedbogan6099 I think a Henning nickel is supposed to weigh 5.4 grams. Real nickels weigh about 5.1 grams.

Great video hunt ! Quinn.Look out for 2009 p/d nickels. They are an anomally as they are extremely difficult to find. They are selling at a large premium if you do find them. Just a heads up !
What’s the best way to wrap half dollars? I don’t see anything besides the wraps online. Was hoping to find a plastic tube that helps the process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TYIA
I bought two nickel boxes, each had a penny in each box, lol. One was a 1924 Wheaty so I was happy, lol and each box gave me a war nickel each. Nickels are fun to crack open when you hit on them, but I would say most of the time it goes very slow of getting a decent hit.

I have the Jefferson nickel booklet the blue one from 1938-1965 full of nickels
it feels so good to fill in a war nickle hole. i still need three. on my last box i got a 1916 buffalo, a 2005 proof bison, a canadian, and a 1904 V nickle. and i'm still a little disappointed because a i didn't find a war nickle! lol :p
actually just got a 1944 S in CHANGE yesterday. i only need two war nickles now.

Do you keep pre-1960 of all coin denominations or just nickels?
I would’ve kept that 2020 P there as they are 40,000th coin. Just put a sticker on it or something lol.

That's one of the good ones. The full steps is what actually sells nickels.

Ive got a jefforson nickel classic san francisco mint
While watching this I stumbled upon a very odd nickel myself... I could tell the weight was off... Yes after clocking the nickel it was 4.53 grams not 5.0... So I have a 1986 P Nickel that weighs 4.53 Grams with very tight grain lines running up and down whole coin... Any idea why it's 4.53 on scale?

I just found a 1953S nickel and a 1942 silver war nickel. I just started so I'm not sure I've found some pretty old ones.
Just a guess on the nickel with the flat's and thicker appearance. I have found coins from the bottom of a washing machine that have looked the same.

1960's are so common, they can be easily circulated to look old lol.

Found an Indian Nickel in great shape.

I have 2 buffalo / indian head nickels. 1935 and 1937. In good condition.
Also have a 1941 has a eagle on the back I'm front looks like a lady and a sun down in the left corner facing

The damage on that coin looks like it may have come from diagonal cutters. Deep on one side and shallow on the other end of the cut.

I wouldn’t be so sure until you try finding, listing, and actually selling these kinds of coins for yourself. It’s definitely not as easy as you make it sound

I have a 1943 nickel but the S is on the side of the building not on top . Is it worth anything l heard it is so l put it in my deposit box at the bank. Someone told me it was worth a lot of money ?????
You can't always Go buy old ones because I got a couple shiny ones from Thirties and up and they didn't even look old

Not getting off the subject,but I have a Lincoln penny with one Lincoln on one side a flag carved on the other and the year is 1887.?
It’s a fake! Lincoln wasn’t on the Penny until 1909.

Try to spend them if they take then they're worth something..
