~ I think of it as: you go to sleep and think of everything that has happened during the day. All the fights, the bad things. You see that your life is getting ruined, and tomorrow is probably going to be the same. So in the deepest part of you, although you don't want to admit it, you know that what's going on with your relationship is a problem ("seeing red lights" ~> "I know there is a problem")
So yeah, I personally don't see the song as an er0t1c or s3xu4l song, but a song about toxicity, fights, warnings, personal development and even fighting against yourself (because you want that person but he/she/they isn't good for you).
