Hello, David! Hope you are fine!
My name is Guilherme Santos, and I am currently looking for Creo tutorials regarding surfaces and I found your (amazing) playlists on UA-cam, specially Surfacing, Freestyle Surfacing, ISDX, Offset Command.
However, I did not find in your websites the models to try to reproduce the tutorials. Can you please share parts by e-mail or some dropbox link?

wow all tis time i struggle to add entities into 1 chain(with the usual thinking Cntr) the solution was the Shift key TANK YOU!
I would like to ask you were we can find such as this documented details on commands?

Apostolis, I'm glad I could help. I agree, the whole combination of using SHIFT vs CTRL is not immediately obvious.
Part of the reason I make these videos is that this information is not readily available to users. It is in PTC University if you have a subscription, although I find their material a little dry and boring. It's also in the PTC Help. If you've seen that, it's also not the most electrifying reading.

Can you touch on STYLE and G3 curve and surface connections?
I had a PTC support ticket opened and they gave me a great tip for a troublesome master surface model.
There was one last patch i couldn't get to G3 - they had me create a CURVE FROM DATUM in STYLE, increase the quality, and bump the degree to 7.
That worked, but it's still hit or miss as a general modeling method in STYLE.
Thinking NX or Catia may be better CAD programs for true G3/Class A.
    thoughts?

Honestly I have extreme difficulty seeing the difference between G2 and G3 surface connections visually - my eyes just aren’t attuned to that level. I can use some of the analysis tools to tell that there’s a difference. To me it’s like how to distinguish between good and bad modern art.
Also I haven’t done much Industrial Design in the years since PTC added G3 connections. We used ISDX at Lab126 but Echo and Fire TV were simple shapes obviously. On Prime Air and Blue Origin we keep away from too stylistic surfaces for manufacturability.
I just don’t have the experience to comment that deeply about G3.

    Hello
    Nice video, thanks
You can also approximate curve at the beginning (copy curve), it s allow to get a "single" shape.

At some point I’ll do a series on Copy and Paste / Paste Special when I feel like finally tackling all those dependency options.

Amazing video! Thank you very much. Could you also do some videos on creating curves within ISDX?

Eventually... once I get a license of ISDX...

Can you build a G2 continuity surface without darwing style curves using the boundary blend feature in creo?

  • @andrestaim319
    @andrestaim319 4 роки тому

Hello I have played with boundary blend whole day and for some reason I can not use second direction. Does the lines have to be connected to each other with some special way? Can you show how you draw the lines for boundary blend?

How did u draw this for developing the curve.

How did I draw what? The network of curves are either 2D sketches or curves through points.

@@turbojspeed1360 I still don't know what ends you are talking about. I'm sure the problem is clear in your mind, but you haven't explained it clear enough for me to understand what exactly you are referring to.

@@CADPLMGuy first of all I'm really sorry for my english. 😁.
The issue is. There is a base curve and a set of curves that define it's surfaces. How does the ends of guiding curves meet the base curve
