9 volt battery
9 volt battery connector
Insulated copper wire ~ 20ga

can anybody help with this question? In my opinion there is a value (voltage) missing from this question.. but I may be wrong. here goes. There are 3 heating elements, each are 250 watts wired in parallel, calculate the current total to each element
Are light bulbs like batteries ? Connecting two 6V batts in parallel gives 6V but in series give 12 V . Is it the same for 6 V bulbs ? If I have a 12 V batt , can I use 2 - 6V bulbs in series without problems.

ebay! Seriously, try it. I just bought a small motor, 1/240 rpm, to make an egg-turner for a homemade incubator... there were several 1rpm motors, and bigger.

Hi I did the same exact thing but my bulb that is close to the batteries is brighter than the one further away from the battery although is it a parallel circuit

Junda the current (amps) is split in a parallel circuit. Causing LESS watts at each bulb. Volts measure same.
Watts=volts times amps. Less amps equals less watts, equals less brightness.
Is this the same as using Pig Tails for outlets?

You can definitely add on/off switches. Location of the switch is important since you could have it turn off both or just one of the bulbs depending where you put it. If you want it to turn off both bulbs the switch needs to be next to the battery.

Where would you install a ground wire in this circuit
Ground wires are not necessary for a small dc circuit. You usually see ground wires in larger AC circuits as a safety measure.

Why the resistor is not connected in parallel circuit ?
Don't need one. The light bulbs act like resistors I believe.

I think you can get this sort of stuff at Radio Shack. If you live in a city with a Fry's Electronics, they definitely have it. You could order online from them or really any electronics/hobby site.

Can you do this without the battery pack?
I didn't use a battery pack. I used a 9 volt batter with a 9 volt battery connector. You can use other batteries, you will just have to figure out a good way to connect the wire to the ends of a AA battery or whatever you use. Can be a simple as using electrical tape to stick the wires to the ends of the battery.
