  • Hello, my Friends!
I recently decided to start using a different Webtoon format to make my comic and it works WONDERS! I actually love it SO much and I feel so much more efficient and productive.
Instead of having smaller canvases to work on at once, I made a super long canvas. It was much easier to work with this canvas and I highly recommend using this ultimate webtoon format.
Just make it as long as you want, according to how much you upload a week, and you're all set!
I hope you enjoyed this week's video and I hope to see you next week on Saturday. Thank you!!

I really wanted to try a bigger comic panel, but I was afraid of my iPad wouldn’t hold it well and couldn’t use many layers, but I think I will try using a bigger one. I remembered that I watched a video a few months ago that said something about the size of the page that we upload, he said it’s good to upload in smaller sizes than the big strip, even though the big size is better for drawing, uploading in a small size helps the viewer to see our comic with less download timing(I really don’t know if I am explaining this well, English isn’t my first language), but what I meant with this is: the viewer will have to download one panel at time, instead of download a big one a big one, so it will be faster since they will be already reading the comic while they download, instead of waiting the bigger size to download for them start reading. I hope you can understand me, I think I got a little bit confused 😅
Btw, in one of your videos, you mentioned about a one app/site that cuts off the photos in the size we wanted, but I couldn’t find it, do you remember the name of it?

Ahh, I think you're right on that.... I should probably remake a video and explain that since it might actually be a bad thing🤔
Also, no worries! Your English is great, and I didn't even notice anything until you mentioned it:)) Thank you for letting me know!
I use Procreate to crop my images:)

Me: watching this while working on my 50K pixel long canvas :D
I can't imagine working on a small slip, since most of my panels are longer than the upload size on webtoon.
Good luck with your story ^^

what procreate brush do you use to make the lineart for your characters?

I use my own!! I like experimenting with the brush settings to try to find the right brush for myself and it’s pretty hard!😅 I’ve made at least 10 different lineart brushes for my Webtoon….
