Do you think there's a reason Saudi Arabia only has 88 compared to the US, which has 800? This suggests to me that there isn't much of a market. One of the biggest reasons we only saw two Strata-Coasters was because it just wasn't a good return on the investment. Could a park chain purchase one of these and make it work? Sure. But the goal is always to increase crowd sizes to increase revenue. When Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka debuted, there wasn't a massive increase in attendance at their respective parks. It was kind of business as usual. So why build something so massive if you're not getting any additional cash for it? Also, I wouldn't say it's sad that Falcon's Flight will never be beaten in terms of records. If the 90s told us anything, it's that record breaking doesn't mean good or great. It's not all about biggest, tallest, fastest. I finally rode boulder dash and it isn't winning any awards in those categories, not even among woodies. But I would put it easily in the top 10 coasters in the northeast US as far as the ride experience.
A thing to mention that a lot of this reminds me of is a park that would be a contender for a big coaster. An Exa? Absolutely not, but Energylandia has a similar story of being government-backed and basically being an RMC, Intamin, and (lately) Vekoma playground. The difference of course is Poland is way more competent than Saudi and their funds arent unlimited. But could we see some new RMC giga or even Vekoma giga? I don't put it past them. A part of me wonders if the Saudi government took notes on how Energylandia was being run and wanted to 1up them, lol
I suspect this coaster, though record breaking may not be the worlds best coaster. Great design and engineering is always founded on some form of limitations, function drives the greatest form. Creativity and creating a great experience is driven by limitations. We shall see :)
I’m pretty sure terra mitica could would have the perfect spot for falcons flight and they could drop off a mountain/ quarry wall, magus collosus is sbno and that spot for ff would be perfect. They won’t though because they don’t invest there
Having the tallest, and the longest, and the fastest roller coaster in the world,.. won't make it a good roller coaster. It's almost like a CGI roller coaster brought to reality. I'd like to hear the reviews when they test it.
Worth asking the question: "Does any park *need* to top Falcon's Flight?" - It's the world's tallest, fastest, longest coaster yes. But it's in the middle of a bleedin' dessert! This makes it accessible to a very specific, wealthy minority. The gulf states are obsessed with "size" over everything else. This extends all the way to the way they build their cities; terrible urban planning with huge supernal skyscrapers that remain mostly empty. What people really care about with tourism & theme parks is "experience". That's why despite not breaking records, Disney & Universal dominate the market. The future is more immersion, more variety of elements (as seen on Velocicoaster) not height, speed or length. Falcon's flight = record breaking, not "the best"
The Polercoaster would not have been visible behind Hogwarts.... It would have been behind Ripsaw falls... But you still probably wouldn't have been able to see it because Universals 3 tower hotels (Aventura and Cabana Bays 2 towers) would have blocked the view.
Six Flag Great Adventure also has massive land you must of not look at google map now if your talking about cuz of the money then yes I think it will be hard for any theme park to buy one of these.
Kings Island believe it or not has the land to get close. They own everything back to the Little Miami River. Land going from The Beast all the way over to The Bat and back to the river and over to the employee dorms and greenhouses. Remove The Bat, Invertigo, Congo Falls, Timberwolfe Ampitheater and the greenhouses and dorms and its a crazy amount. 600 acres or more. They are never doing all this of course but they have tons of land still.
6Flags/Cedar Fair didn’t pay for the park. They’re endorsement of the part was crucial. MBS knew this. Because Six Flags is a household name. They wanted the name.
Yes but they are not using the six flags name for any of the cedar fair parks. And they will try to phase out the six flags slowly. But in turn they are being paid millions by the saudis just to use the name of a chain that is looked down upon here in the states. The Saudis have no idea though. :)

Hope the 1 percent club enjoys! Cause I ain’t ever stepping foot over there lol
Don't come to our holy land. Your presence or absence is the same
of course they will. i won't be suprised if Formula Rossa is closed because they are planning to increase it's speed to beat Falcon's Flight
The above statement was what I thought was true about Kingda Ka, so records are made to be broken.
Im still pissed about ka its not ga without it
Simply move to Saudi Arabia
If the coaster track didn’t have to be stretched out it would be even cooler and have more airtime
Imagine not being creative enough to build on top of other things.
Soon we'll break the 1,000 foot height and 200mph marks. Falcon's may not be copied, but it will certainly be surpassed someday.
It's not all about biggest, tallest, fastest. I finally rode boulder dash and it isn't winning any awards in those categories, not even among woodies. But I would put it easily in the top 10 coasters in the northeast US as far as the ride experience.
..?
Imagine the down time. Expecting this to become SBNO within a year.
If the Falcon's Flight is indeed completed, there's one man crazy enough to build a bigger coaster. Elon Musk would probably try and top it
Nice vid
3:53 Oversimplified, nice
I will say it right here: this ride will never reliably open for the public
Six Flags Las Vegas will bring the record back to the states after Qiddiya closes down.
A part of me wonders if the Saudi government took notes on how Energylandia was being run and wanted to 1up them, lol
me and boys are looking into going to SA just for this park and of course the WWE experience.
Im DOWN, I'll go ride it
ya somebody with an old Quarry in Ohio gonna get drunk and say hold my beer- then will build a 700 foot drop coaster the entire length of the quarry
The only park(s) that have the land to do this are the Disney World parks and we all know they would never
I suspect this coaster, though record breaking may not be the worlds best coaster. Great design and engineering is always founded on some form of limitations, function drives the greatest form. Creativity and creating a great experience is driven by limitations. We shall see :)
Idc Im not forgetting abt fury 325
I’m pretty sure terra mitica could would have the perfect spot for falcons flight and they could drop off a mountain/ quarry wall, magus collosus is sbno and that spot for ff would be perfect. They won’t though because they don’t invest there
Magnus Colossus is SBNO because they cant afford to get rid of it
Having the tallest, and the longest, and the fastest roller coaster in the world,.. won't make it a good roller coaster. It's almost like a CGI roller coaster brought to reality. I'd like to hear the reviews when they test it.
Europapark could do all and have the land + we all know that Dubai wants to have all records then, so...
U forgot about the polar coaster coming to Blackpool 650 foot 15 loops
Let's see how long it's open
Voltron at Europa Park would eat this for dinner.
Six Flag Great Adventure also has massive land you must of not look at google map now if your talking about cuz of the money then yes I think it will be hard for any theme park to buy one of these.
Bye Bye to Kingda Ka
How the mighty has fallen.
Ferrari world abu dhabi is a park that could beat it. I dont think they will go for it, but its one of very few parks that could
Vegas has plenty of room, one of the outer edge hotels could easily build one.
MarineLand in niagra falls has the space for this coaster.
This will probaby be less reliable than Kingda Ka. It will be more of a landmark than a ride.
It's one of those Mohammed Bum Salami vanity projects.
Canada’s wonderland has the space for it
