On this point Pawson is correct. The pretribulation rapture teaching is pure eisegesis, when you read something into a biblical text instead of interpreting out of the text the proper message, which is good exegesis. As an Amillennialist I don't agree with Pawson's Historic Premillennialism but if I weren't an Amillennialist I would be a Historic Premillennialist. But we do agree about the Dispensational teaching on the Pretribulational rapture. We agree that it is an unbiblical teaching and will probably lead many Christians to apostatize when persecution and hardship increase to the point that most people's love will grow cold. .
