    Las Vegas uses a microscopic amount of the Colorado river.
    The watershed is doomed because of cash crop farming, objectively.

    Varn, on the topic of attempts to recapture the early internet, what is your opinion on federated apps such as Mastodon, Lemmy, etc? Do you think the non-corporate (or at least not necessarily corporate), open source nature of those attempts could bear any fruit?

      @@candified3851 they have to improve the interface particularly now that younger people are more dependent on corporate software intermediaries
