What is your favorite Elvis car? Comment below!
My favorite car is Elvis 's purple Cadillac El Dorado Biarritz. It is an eye catcher Ashley !
I have to say the 2 door white Continental currently on display...that may change to the gold Cadillac Limo after the video comes out ;)
@@jansorensen it’s amazing how huge it is in person! 🍇
@@jasonsummers8097 iconic! My favorite changes a lot lol
@@ashleysadventures Yes this car is huge like a tank, but probably next to the pink caddy is this, one of the coolest cars they have in the Graceland car museum. This car is the one that people always it kind of sticks out in your mind when you leave and you think back at this car.
Wow having diamonds and real gold on a car. This was really something. Being decked out like Elvis wanted. Only Elvis would come up with. I will call artwork. A fan for life. Long live Elvis!
Yep, only Elvis! ⚡️
He had a 1972 Cadillac Custom Estate Wagon which I thought was really sharp. Hope to chat with you Friday Ashley !
OH MAN!!!!!!!!! I've been so curious about that car! I think I may even asked you about it! You read my mind!!! You are my favorite Elvis Detective!!!!
Better be! I’ve been working on this one for a while 🔮 hope you enjoy it!!
I have seen this car in person at the country music hall of fame in Feb. 1989. I still have pictures of it. It's exciting to get to see it in person. Thank you Ashley Drew !!
Thanks Bonnie!
Super cool Ashley, thank you! God bless
Thanks for watching!
I saw that in person back in the early 80s :)
Me too in 70”s
Me too. Saw it in Nashville in 1992
My thoughts came true to night ! What a great car I must say this Cadiillac fit for a king of rock and roll !!🕵🏻♀️⚡️
Yay! It really is!!
I saw the car when it toured through New Zealand. I was only 7 at the time but still remember being amazed by it, especially the television and the shoe buffer.
That's so cool!
Stephen where and when did you see the caddy/ looking forward to your reply regards bob
@@MrElvis2594 Hi Bob ,I saw the car in my Hometown of Wairoa on the eastcoast of the north island NewZealand .It was 1969 although I thought it was later.I have checked and definitely 1969.
I think it cost 20 or 50 cents to look at.
I always remembered seeing it although 52 years ago.
I saw that car at the Royal Launceston (Tasmania) Agricultural Show but I thought it was before 1968/69. May be wrong but I thought we travelled from the country to the city in our 1965 Buick to see the show. I don't recall the mention of crushed diamonds in the paintwork, nor fish scales. The sign said the paint contained mother of pearl, from pearl shells, and under bright floodlights it had a rainbow effect just like mother of pearl. The car with its gold covering every piece of chrome and its gold interior was absolutely amazing. A beautiful car.
Loved all the fun facts about Elvis’ special gold limousine. It was great to see all the extra features. Thank you for giving us the complete history of the vehicle and telling us where it is now and how it was carefully placed. 💜
So glad you enjoyed this one! Thank you Carol ☺️
How cool is it to think of Elvis grooming himself in his custom limo. I love everything about this car what a piece of history.
Isn't it so unique? Thanks for watching!
Isn't it so unique? Thanks for watching!
I reckon it had this mostly because if he was doing lots of appearances in one day (I think this is called a "press junket"), there wouldn't be a lot of time to sit in front of a makeup mirror to get ready, so I guess it was more practical to have it all in his limo, so he could get ready/do last minute touches on the way to an event or in-between performances/TV and radio appearances (why did I put radio, don't really need to worry about what you look like when people are only listening to your voice)
Yayyyy!! Saw this BEAUTIFUL car years ago in Nashville!! GORGEOUS and all the EXTRAS Elvis had incorporated in it was unbelievable!! Elvis was WAY AHEAD of his time in EVERYTHING! The man had STYLE!! I love this limo but my favorite car of his of ALL TIME is his last BLACK STUTZ! Va~Va~VaVoom and with him driving it, Oh Be Still my Heart!! ❤️ 🤦♀️ A Hunk, a hunk of Burning Love! ❤️🔥 🤩 TCB ⚡️🕺👑
LOL you crack me up. Hope you like this one! Thanks, Linda!
@@ashleysadventures ~ HaHa!! Love me some Elvis!! Go Ashley, the “ TRUE HISTORIAN and DETECTIVE 🕵️ on ALL THINGS ELVIS” !! You go girl!! 👏👏👏👏 🤩

Who needs TV when we have Ashley Drew, Thank u young lady. I've heard of this car but 1st time to see all these pics. Pease
Ha! Thanks Steve!
What a cool story! 😎 Loved that the car helped people through charity.
Right?! I dug into this expecting just car gadgets but love when there's a chance to show off Elvis's generosity. Thanks for watching, AK!
Elvis was incredible , he had impeccable taste. We all love Elvis 😘
Couldn't agree more!
Loved hearing about this car! I would love to know just how many cars Elvis owned in his lifetime. Thank you Ashley! Very interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Dee!
Elvis liked it flashy. My favorite was the paint job with diamond dust. Great video. Vicki
Isn't that cool! Thanks for watching!
That's the car my mom took me to see in our then small town of Rome, Ga. 1974 or 75.
That's cool!
Fabulous!!!
Thanks for watching!
Have never seen these pics of the car lifted into the museum. That is cool. Great video Ashley!
Isnt it crazy! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video Ashley! I had my picture taken next to this gorgeous car at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville in 1987. What a memory! ❤️ TCB⚡️

So cool! Thank you! 😊
Good stuff Ash!
Appreciate it!
Everything was exciting to look at. Great story behind Elvis' Gold car. Amazing. Thanks.
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you Cerelia 😊
Wow Ashley!! This one caddy of his is the ultimate of Caddy's! Just love it. Lots of luxuries inside. Can't believe one of them is a shoe polisher! lol! When ya got it, ya got it right?!! :) I'm so happy it's displayed at the Newer Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame . It has a good home. My favorite Cadillac very well could be this one for sure now! Did love that pink caddy though the one he gave his mom... Such a great video and explained all features so well, thanks again Ashley!
It’s the ultimate Cadillac! Thank you so much Diane! ☺️

Ooh yes
Great video Ashley! I knew about the gold car but that was it, this was really interesting! Thank You for all your hard work and bringing us something new every time!
Yay absolutely, so glad you enjoyed it Sandra! Thanks for watching!
I saw this car in Nashville years ago it was something else.
It really is super unique! Thanks for watching!
Unbelievable ! ! !
Only Elvis , could have a car , like this .
Is there a similar one at Graceland ?
Seems like , I saw one similiar to this one , but , not quite as extravagant ?
Keep up the great work ! ! !
You are so good at it ! ! !
Its so Elvis! Thanks for watching!
My favorite part was the electric shoe shiner!
Wasn't that so cool!
Spectacular video on Elvis’s gold limousine! It really shocks me to hear they used real diamonds and gold! Plus, Elvis stocked it with everything imaginable! This is a forever car that is a dream come true!😊❤
⚡️❤️
Your a star Ashley!
Thank you.
Thank you
Great video Ashley!
Thank you Donna!
You are so informative and your delivery is entertaining. Again, great job Ashley. Thank you~
Thank you so much, Cathy! 😊😊😊
I liked the end of the report the introduction of the vehicle by the wall? . I saw the car in 1995 in Nashville. Thanks Ashley 🙏 Merci
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Ashley very interesting and learning so much about Elvis Aaron Presley and Graceland and his Cars!❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
The car is iconic. Nice vidio Ashley 👍🏻😎
It really is! Thanks David!
What?! I missed seeing Elvis's gold limo when I was in Nashville?!!! Oh I'm so stinking sad now. Diamond dust, fish scales, 24 karat gold, oh my! I can't even imagine, but the outside of the limo was nazy looking. I can't imagine that much money spent to customize this limo, all in Elvis style but what is more mind blowing is that today's vehicles can be that much and they don't have all the bells and whistles or diamond dust, fish scales or 24 karat gold. lol Those windows and their little covers are so cool in the back, but I'd probably get a little claustrophobic back there. lol Ice in a minute or two, amazing! Really cool video Ashley, I love that the limo is still in Nashville today, just wish I'd had know it! Kicking myself now. lol Sorry I'm so late getting to this video, outside yard work and opening my pool takes up my life right now. Summer, love it...but then I get behind in my video watching. lol
Oh no! Looks like you'll need to go on another vacation, darnit lol! Plus you can only visit RCA Studio B with a ticket to the CMHOF so that's a must as well
Thanks for tuning in, Brenda!
@@ashleysadventures LOL I do need to go on another vacation! That was a trip of a lifetime, Nashville, Memphis and Waco TX. Yep, we missed the RCA Studio B and the CMHOF. Hoping I get back there one day though!
The crane 🏗 by far was a eye opener
I would've been biting my nails!
@@ashleysadventures couldn’t have paid me enough to run that crane
Ashley Once again I enjoyed your video very much!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you! 😊
In the early 60s I worked on the gold AT&T radio-telephone in that vehicle when it was in Los Angels before making a trip back to TN. I was impressed by the gold records on the ceiling as well as the shoe buffer (that you mentioned.) I was also impressed that he had a PA (public address) system so he could use a mike in the car to speak to his admirers.
What a cool job! Thanks for watching!
I waited all day then came back when I thight it would be on Avd I’ve missed it. Lol
Dangit! You only missed the premiere - its available forever after that!
I really like the Crain picking up Elvis limo! Can you imagine how much fun it as to see it?
Isn’t that crazy!
That car should be at. Graceland. I’ve seen it in Nashville. Wow imagine driving that around in the fifties trying not to be noticed. Lol. T c b. Canada
It would be nice to see it there but the CMHOF owns it fair and square ⚡️
When I was a little kid I saw it at the Old county music HOF!I remember it well. When I went to the new HOF I saw it again! My favorite car of his is the purple Cadillac convertible and the Stutz.
Thanks for watching! The purple Cadillac has an interesting history, too. Here's my video on it:

Wow!
😊 thanks for watching!
@@ashleysadventures you're welcome. My mom and I enjoy your channel.
Kind of shocked they used naugahyde? But really cool, the cost comparison today would be outrageous!
Right? After all the gold and fish scales lol $$$ thanks for watching, Heather!!
Omg.. that crane operator had nerves of steel! 😮
Right??
Thanks for watching!
Great story Ashley. I was at Graceland when it was open just 3 months. Under the carport was a black Ferrari, his mama's pink Cadillac, 2 Stutz Blackhawks, and several 3 wheel trike motorcycles. I personally thought his black Ferrari was really cool. I could just see him driving it with a swisher sweety cigar in his mouth😎 TCB
Haha thanks for watching!
I loved this video. Can’t believe that I missed it for the past 3 years, but happy I got to see this! I’d be more happy if I could see it in person! What a CAR. You can tell that Elvis really ⚡️TCB⚡️when he had this baby made!!❤❤❤
Thanks for checking it out, Donna! ❤️
Breathtaking!
Isn’t it cool? Thanks for watching!
I love your posts, thank you for all your research!@@ashleysadventures
I wish the car video was in color so you could get the full effect! Elvis Loved gadgets of all kinds and was always first to get anything new that came out!
Me too! So James Bond!
Love your videos. Thanks Ashley!
Glad you like them! Thank you Karen!
Hi, cool
Hi thank you!
That’s to cool!! I’m glad it’s in a good protective place!!! I never knew that car! That’s why we watch you Ashley!😊 thank you!!!😊
Thank you for tuning in
Very very cool... I'd heard about this car but didn't know anything about it. I think it's pretty cool. I'd be cool of Graceland could get permission to make replicas in the dicast cars Like they did with his other cars. Great jobe Ashley
That would be cool! Thanks for watching!
Yes this was the Elvis Limo that was exhibited at The Royal Melbourne Show AUS in the 1960s, my older brothers saw it there.
Elvis did like his cars - I often wonder how much he spent on cars over his lifetime!
Wow, good point! Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much for this video Ashley I love it
The shoe polisher. My hubby has one just like it that he got from his Grandpa. I got excited when I saw it. I told him Elvis had one. I want to use it now but he says it doesn’t work anymore. But it’s still cool he has it.
That’s cool!
Rolls roice. My favourite..
Good choice!
I saw a video of the car on the Rockology app a couple mos. ago. It is fabulous! Elvis was always one of the first to get his hands on any new tech gadget! If he were alive, there's no doubt he'd be on Facebook or Twitter with his fans!
totally!! Thanks for watching
Hi Ashley, are you reading my mind? A few weeks ago, I thought, "I hope Ashley will make a video about the gold 1960 Cadillac 75 fleetwood Limo and discuss with us about this special gold Limo " now it looks like my thoughts are coming true ! looking forward to the opening night !🕵🏻♀️⚡️
Yep!! 🔮 hope you enjoy it!
Good job Ashley.
I'd like to see all the features in the Elvis's limo if he were alive today
Ooh yes the gadgets would be awesome
My favorite is the last car that he drove on the morning of August 16. I believe this was a Stutz Blackhawk. I also love the pink Cadillac of course.
Great cars! Thanks for watching!
Эшли ,благодарю вас.Разов 5 посмотрела видео с остановками.Надо же!Элвис везде был первый,спешил жить .Везде первопроходец.Очень интересный сюжет про лимузин.Так детально разложили.Спасибо.🌸
Hi Ashley. The Cadillac was shown at the Trocedero in Sydney for the opening of the tour? I wrote a book about this tour and that book is currently in the Archives at Graceland. I am always looking for more details about the tour to New Zealand. If I can work out how to add a photo to this reply I will add the cover of the book Kind regards Bob Hayden. By the way the picture of the lady sitting on the bonnet of the car is the photograph I used in my book and I also have it in colour. The photograph was also shown in a local TV magazine as well regards bob hayden (NSW) Australia
That’s so cool, Bob! Crazy you found my video ⚡️
Ashley, you ROCK! Such awesome videos and info. Have you done a video on the pink jeep at Graceland?
Thanks so much Dianna!

Thank you 😊 I looking for that car so it in Nashville Tennessee
Absolutely! Thanks for watching
I surrender
If the Lisa Marie was his Flying Graceland, this must have been his Rollin' Graceland.
Touchè!
Удивительный человек был Пресли.С безупречным вкусом ,опережал все везде!🤘🌟
Thank you for watching!
Elvis invented cool!
He sure did!
@@ashleysadventures by the way I subscribed cause you got some cool about you and you ain't even trying! Thank you for all you do! Blessings to you and husband!
Wow, I really appreciate that! Thank you Duane!
The car is iconic like Elvis himself. Sometimes we think Elvis was so wasteful with this type of stuff. But I think he spent more money on others than on himself. Just this car alone raised over a hundred thousand dollars for charity like children and people with dissbilitiies and eldererly care ! !🕵🏻♀️⚡️
Exactly!! Well said
@@ashleysadventures Thanks Ashley ! Keep producing history videos and live your dream girl and be proud of that Ashley !
George Barris was the original “Pimp My Ride” guy. 👍🏾
Thanks for watching!
Amazing! Too bad it is not at Graceland.
Its just a few hours away. Thanks for watching!
I have a ornament of that car on my elvis tree
Ooh!
I’m a huge fan of elvis Presley’s I love 💕 elviss music and flims too elvis will always be the king 👑 of rock and roll 🎸 my dream is to visit Graceland and communicate with elvis 3:13pm
Thanks for watching!
@@ashleysadventures my favourite car 🚗 would be the pink Cadillac and purple car 4:26pm
This car was on tour in the 80's with some other of his cars. I was with my mom and we went to a show of his in South Dakota. I have pictures of us standing by the car. I don't remember more details about who set the show up or why. I just remember they had it out on tour. I'll have to dig out those old pictures to verify. But we both remember it. The record player some how looks like you load the records upside down in it.
Unless there was more than one with all the same features?
Looks like other saw it in the late 80's so I have to find those pictures.
That’s rad! Thanks for watching!
Have u ever saw the other gold car he had made with all mink sets an floor has gold hound dog on the hood
Do you know the name of the Australian Hotel? I live in Sydney Australia and would like to research this exhibition further. I met George Barris in Sydney four months before passed away.
No but I'm sure it won't be hard to find. Thanks for watching!
@@ashleysadventures It was Displayed at the Sydney Trocadero club. It was Big Band Dance Hall. Not a Hotel at all. The Trocadero was demolished in 1971 for a Multiplex Cinema complex. It then travelled around to other major cities then to New Zealand.

1:53 so used to seeing suicide doors here. I wonder why Mr Presley didn't get suicide doors installed, as it would of looked cooler...
Maybe! Thanks for watching!
@@ashleysadventures suicide doors were something that coach builder's (which are Superior, S&S, Eureka and of course, Miller-Meteor) added to the commercial chassis version (which were used for hearses and car based ambulances) of the series 75. The Ghostbusters car, Ecto-1 is based on the series 75 commercial chassis (the coach maker is Miller-Meteor). Honestly after seeing Ghostbusters, I associate Cadillac with them more than Elvis honestly
:
Didn’t Elvis got a Pink Cadillac? 🤔
He had many. Thanks for watching
......
Thanks for watching!
His Stutz.
😎⚡️
Sorry but elvis was so wasteful with this type of stuff. Why the heck would they put the car on the second floor and risk dropping it? No chance getting it out in case of a fire. Looks like you cant even see the inside now because they have the glass around it. Seems like the inside is the best part. Just like Graceland has the best stuff on pedestal so you cant really look at it.
Thanks for watching!
COOL!
