I luh the Homeaglow. Help without the guilt of asking a loved one
Hi Kayla! This video had me balling my eyes out in the beginning. Seeing you, mom, and granny gave me so much joy! I truly miss my mom and granny dearly. ❤ If you haven't done so, you ladies should definitely have photos taken of the 3 of you. 😊 As for the door, I think the color is fine. Change the wreath that would be your pop of color contrast. Love how beautiful and big your hydrangeas have gotten. 😊
Your hydrangeas needs watering. The leaves appear to be drooping and you should add some slow release fertilizer like Espoma Plant tone. Sprinkle around the drip line or perimeter of the plant, scratch it into the soil and water it in. I’m sure all your bushes need to be fertilized. Be careful pruning blooming bushes so you don’t cut off the blooms for that year. Prune gardenias after the last bloom. Looks like your front is shade so when choosing plants for your window boxes, be sure they all have the same light requirements; shade or part shade. I don’t believe there is enough sun for the gardenias on that side because of the tree and your front is shady. You can dig them up and plant them in your flower bed in the back. The door looks good as is but you could use a darker shade of the same color for more color. Purchase a more vivid wreath. You will definitely make it beautiful.
Definitely if you don’t like the door change it. You should feel great and it should put a smile on your face when you drive up.

Was beautiful feeling watching 3 generations of ladies working together
aww thank you! i cherish these moments!! 🤗
That's what came to my mind as well, I was going to say the very same thing!
(Just wanted to add, about the color of your front door, pull one of the colors from your nook in your entryway where the bench is, from the beautiful wallpaper the door color will tie together and bring the outdoors indoors).
Brought tears to my eyes!
Hello Marcus and Kayla, are you saving your leaves to mulch and for compost? Leaves are a great weed barrier for a food garden
@@LuxSpaBarllc You took the words out of my mouth. Those leaves are gold for her compost.
I love the look of the door. Being very colorful is great, but painting your door to match your shutters is a very subtle way of saying I no longer have to scream I have arrived because I am already here. You can always add some color with a wreath. You, Marcus, your mom, and grandmother did a great job.
@@lisalovett5902 thank you boo! 🫶🏾 Marcus loves it as well so we’ve decided to keep it for the rest of summer and revisit the idea in the fall
I agree. It’s a great backdrop for bold colorful wreaths throughout the seasons.
Owning a house 🏠 is a blessing and it's so nice to see young people taking pride and care of your investment. So a house becomes a home. So happy for y'all. The support of your family is another, amazing blessing. Great job 👏🏾😊.
Such a sweet comment! Thank you so much ♥️ we try our best!
Three generations ❤️ what a blessing!
🥹🫂 biggest blessing!
Beautiful ❤
I think the door looks fine it matches the shutters. What about a more colorful wreath? The wreath is dull. It's summertime try a wreath with yellow in it. Something brighter that makes the gray door pop.
Okay I’m gonna try that! The wreath just isn’t hitting like how it was last year lol 🙃 thank you!
I agree! The door is beautiful, just needs a colorful wreath! MAYBE a rug (that matches the season or Holiday coming up)
Your house is beautiful! A black door would make it look elegant and classy. Love seeing your mom and grandma helping out. Marcus is a great husband.
It is such a blessing to see three generations of women working in the yard together. In harmony. May God bless you your mom and grandmom.
So happy to see you continue to carry the tradition of allowing the elders to contribute their wisdom and knowledge. What a blessing!!!
Yesss! You’re totally right! It’s a tradition 🫂🫶🏾
Y'all need to put a pressure washer on your list of things to buy...cuts down so much time!!!
Give the front door a pop of color. Maybe a Sunny Yellow 😊
I was thinking yellow as well
Yellow is such a pop of color and inviting
Absolutely yellow, I was thinking the same thing.
Beautiful!! Okay! That’s at the top of my list!!
Yes I vote this color too!
Hey Kayla! I think that the area where you were talking about expanding the pine straw would make a great outdoor seating area. Because your front yard is so large, away from the street, & and there's lots of shade there, it would be perfect. I would consider a small pergola with a bench or 2 chairs added & a potted plant on either side.
I love the work and the family time you guys put in!!! Maybe a wreath with a pop of color instead of changing the door color? I think it looks beautiful but we all know how you love color. Hence the green car!!! I was so happy to see her and her green glory! 🥰😂🥰😂
@@Klove514 thank you boo! Yall are right! The wreath is a little dull this time around!
I love how you guys take care of your house and make it a home and you are so blessed to have your family near you and have them over for helping ! God bless your little family!
@@ralucawilliamson2372 thank you so much 🥹🫶🏾🫂
Sometimes simple is more.

Hello Kayla and Marcus. Typically, I'd refresh my front/back yard areas up every season. ❣️
The yard and house look great! I love the progress from day one until now. You and Marcus are a great couple ❤. Love seeing 3 generations together enjoying each other ❤❤❤
Great job Kayla. ❤ I think Black Shutters and Red, Yellow or Teal Front Door. The shutters get lost on your house and so it loses the Wow factor. Whatever you pick, let it be as vibrant as your personality 😊
Your home is so beautiful I’ve been following you since you all moved in! It’s incredible and so inspirational what you as a married couple have done! I pray many blessings ahead for you both!❤
I have a fixer upper too but it’s the home I grew up in! Praying that I can make it over as my own peaceful and beautiful like yours❤
I love pops of color so the door popping is always gonna be a vibe. ❤
Hi, glad you back. I thought I lost your channel. Did not know you had taken a break for a while. I just love your channel. The best video was your international trip. I'm glad I found you today. Have a blessed day 🙏.
Happy Sunday
Those white flowers are just beautiful and I love that you have one on each side
Generational blessings!!!!!! Love the door and the gray, hydrangeas are lovely. Hoping the yellow leaves don’t increase. Great makeover…
3 generations is a true Blessing. I remember doing things with my Grandmother, Mother and Aunts and Great Aunts.
Your Mom And Grandmother did an excellent job with the planters. Do a YELLOW or Emerald Green Door!
I'm fully on board with a nice green door.
I really liked the door color. Actually, when you showed that first view of the home after cleaning and trimming the bushes, I thought this is such a pretty home.
Kayla you and Marcus are such an inspiration. Your home is lovely and inviting. Watching you, I always feel like working on things DIY for my grandmother"s home. Lately I almost began feeling overwhelmed and sad. She is 94 yo and has dementia now. I am her caregiver. She was always a DIY and enjoyed carpentry. I just realized I learned from watching her. Watching you with your mom and grandmother made me realize I should start choosing DIY projects my Grand can still do. I grabbed a H&G magazine with a livingroom I was going to copy for her and showed her two color versions. I was shocked but loved that she chose the bold colored room instead of the mostly white. She even assured me that she can copy a painting she admired in the inspiration room.Thank you and Marcus for sharing. I'm going to have Grand start watching your channel with me. Been a super fan since you painted your car. BTW please fill that entryway vase with some of your beautiful real hydrangea blooms and save the fakes for later.😂🎉
Love 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶 this house decor look for summer time.Wow😮 you &your husband real done it up. This Is some good summer house ideas Fabulous ✨✨✨✨
Hello it's always awesome to see your various projects. Happy Sunday and as always welcome back. You home is really coming along thanks for sharing with us.❤😊
Hey Kayla and Marcus you guys are at it again sprucing up your home. I love to see how you two work together. It truly makes my Sunday evening here in the UK 🇬🇧 as I am in bed not feeling too well. 😫.
Thank you for brightening up my evening. Love ❤️ love ❤️ love ❤️ the hallway make over. Take care of each other. Bev UK 🇬🇧🙏🏾🙏🏾🇬🇧🇬🇧🌹🌹🙏🏾🙏🏾
Yall did a beautiful job! Someone suggested adding a wreath to the door. I think that’s a good idea. Also maybe a no dig garden for where the grass isn’t growing on the left side would work 😊 I have a similar problem where grass isn’t growing so I’m planning to do a no dig flower garden
This was great! The progress on the home has been mindblowing. Stay awesome❣️🏡
Loving the refresh for sure. I think you should pick a color from your favorite flower and paint the door. Right now I’m obsessed with sunflowers so I painted our door sunflower yellow 🥰
Not new, just clean! It looks so good. The flower beds have come a long way and grown well. Great choices! All the things you are doing weve done too. We started early spring. A power washer is a great thing. I washed my windows and finally put out some triple shred black mulch. We live north though.
Everything looks great though...even the door.
Hi Kayla, I like the exterior makeover. 🤩👍🏼 It was a blessing to have your Mom and Grandmom lend a hand in the makeover. The planter boxes look nice. 👍🏼 I agree with you about the door color. Although the gray looks nice, it doesn't make a statement. Choosing a color that will give it pizazz will definitely add to the exterior makeover. And make it stand out. I'm sorry I don't have a color suggestion. 🤔 But I'm sure whatever color you choose will be a perfect choice. 🤩
Kayla+Marcus=An AWESOME DIY TEAM!!! I've said it before and will say it again, "Y'ALL ROCK!!" 😃👏🏽💜😃👏🏽💜😃👏🏽💜😃👏🏽💜😃👏🏽💜
Take care. Much love. 💜🙏🏽💜🙏🏽
I like the door color. Matching to the shutters looks just fine. If you change the color of the door, then you should match the shutters with the same color for a great curb appeal. Love the drone footage.
I love the color of door, simple and elegant. I do front often but powerwash every 6 months.
You and Marcus are an amazing team it’s so beautiful to see
@@TheMrsEl thank you! 😊
Hey Kayla! 💖 your home is coming alone, so beautiful. I would do a green or yellow for the door, and I would also paint the bird bath the same color to pull the color of the door out. Whatever you decide to do I'm sure it's gonna be beautiful..
A power washer would be so helpful for those cleanups. 💗 🌸
So sweet to see you your mom and your grandma spending time together❤.... Yes, I think you should change the color of your door find a color that will make your house pop!!!😊
I love to see your content. It's so inspiring. Just want to thank you both. Y'all work so hard, and it will pay off. Tfs❤❤
You both did an awesome job. Love to see 3 generation of women working together.👏👍🥰
Y'all put so much love and attention into this home and it is absolutely beautiful.
Today is Monday and its in the afternoon here in Northern California. I just finished watching your Video a second time. The house looks fresh and clean 👌 😍
Just Beautiful!. Thank you again for sharing your Beautiful space. Have a great week 😀
Thank you so much for watching twice ♥️!! Happy Monday!
Girl I love the door, it all looks very nice 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Kayla and Marcus, you all did it again! Great job…Everything looks so fresh and clean. I like the grey door. However, I see where it is not highlighting that new door. I follow another UA-camr and her outside home color is also white trimmed in black like yours. She painted the door Behr rejuvenation and it looks great…a sage green in color. Also she added several terra cotta planters going down the steps by the front door. That pop of color with the pots looks amazing. You could try that to take the color to the next level. Waiting to see what you do! Happy Summer!
Kayla you can lay sod diwn in your yard or grass seeds to see if the grass grow, just a option everything looks great and yes I would change the front door❤❤❤
I think a beautiful muted yellow would look great on the door.
I love the door matching the shutters, it looks nice with the white hydrangeas. Sometimes less is more, but I know you already said you’re repainting it so that’s just my two cents on that & Yes, move the chair. Good job as always🫶🏾🙂
I dread doing yardwork, especially here in VA. But, I love the results when I'm done.
Planted some daylilies, more knockout roses, lantana, (snapdragon from seeds) maybe paint the door red and some red flowers.
I think yellow would be really beautiful for the door
Love love love it all yall... 3 generations what a blessing... do yall have a power washer? It works great for cleaning off the house especially the gutters and brick work❤
Beautiful job. Everything looks lovely. You need to water your hydrangeas and other plants every other day and use some miracle grow on them. Once you water the hydrangeas you will see home the leaves spring up. They love water especially since they are in the Georgia sun.
Enjoy your beautiful home and keep up the good work. ❤🙏🏿
I love the color of the door!
Paint the door like a colonial red or something close to that a green wood blend in with the bushes and greenery the red would pop. Just my appinion. Everything you do looks amazing. I love to see people work on bettering their home. Especially young people. If you start young it only gets better. You guys are amazing! I love the variety of flowers in the window boxes. Working with your mom and grandma is amazing. I lost my grandmother awhile ago and mother last year. My l world has changed. May you be blessed as long as possible with yours.❤
A yellow will make the door pop. Also try a product call ten ten ten to your grass it works amazing. Water you flowers every other day. P.S. the house looks beautiful!
Do a blue door or change the wreath to a loud color. You can try hostas, lamium or ferns in the garden next to the tree. Those are really tough shade plants. Or even a grass
I have a big clean up done at the end of fall, beginning of spring and an end of summer - so that the outside stays pristine.
You and Marcus did a great job!
Front door needs a stand out color - yellow or aqua!
Have a tree specialist come in to thin out the large trees so that the side of house will get more sun for the plants to thrive.
Good Sunday afternoon to you Kayla and everyone ❤️❤️. I am enjoying your content ❤❤❤❤
Happy Sunday! yay!! 😁
I think black would be pretty.
I love the gray door
I think baby blue or sky blue would be pretty for the door I'm from Indiana and people usually has spring colored doors then change them by season like burnt orange for fall and red for Christmas 👍🏻
Everything looks great. Remember hydrangeas need lots of water, hence their name. Also you need to fertilize. Make sure the pine straw is not suffocating the roots. I feel like your landscaping needs some colour. Maybe put some annuals in pots throughout the garden. Just check if they require sun or shade.
I would totally do a colored door. Like teal
Everything looks beautiful! Have you fertilized your plants and shrubs? I fertilize my hydrangeas and shrubs once a year. My annuals I fertilize every 2 weeks. I use organic fertilizer. ❤
Everything looks great
Hi Kayla add a wreath with summer colors
The door looks classy ❤
We are in the country so we clean outside about every other month. This year I put some begonias out haven't done those in a while. Coleous are a big hit and they're easy and beautiful, impatients, petunias, ferns, marigolds, and daisies. Everything is looking beautiful.
You can enhance your gray door by replacing wreath with a more colorful wreath.
Great Job all around!
Hello Kayla and Marcus happy summer!!!
@@sherrybrown8608 happy summer!! ♥️
Put the chair behind the planter.. and/or even maybe a smaller planter where the plant can be under the chair and the greenery and flowers can pop out/ bloom from under the chair
Hi Kayla and Marcus 😊 I absolutely enjoy your Content. I will watch again when everything is quiet around me and double enjoy the Video. Sorry I can't help with the color of the door because yellow is one of my favorite colors and i don't think that will match. Thanks so much for sharing 😊 ❤
Hello Kayla. Your house is beautiful. I like the grey doors, but if you really want to change it, I would go red (a great front door color according to Feng Shuei). Plants on the left part of the house are most probably depleted from sun and soil nutritiens thanks to the big tree nearby. I have experienced something similar in my garden. And please, do not forget to use fertilizer when you water the plants in your window boxes and pots. They will look great 👍.
I absolutely love the curb appeal. I wouldn't change a thing.
Put flowers there that don’t need much sun on that side and yes clean front yard every season or twice a year 😊❤❤
Yeah, for sure do a bit of yard & front door area cleaning & sprucing up, every season! Love the door color, & the fresh plants & flowers, it pulled it all together! On the door change, maybe a bold red or yellow? 🤔 ❤️💛#happysummer 🪴🌳🌺🌼🌞🫶🏼
I would the dirt tested on both sides of the house. You might need to buy specific flowers based on the dirt analysis and buy specific flowers for 1-2 hours of sun.
Depending on where you live.. I’m in the Midwest (north) and I do a good deep clean in Spring. I typically have to then maintain it with a couple times a month cleaning, weeding, etc all summer. then I clean up when I put away everything in fall. I like to enjoy the house but I don’t like yard work.
I love the color of door
Butter color for door would look great off the grey and white
BEAUTIFUL AS USUAL 😊❤
Depending the type of gray cool or warm but I believe a pale green, teal, blue, or a yellow will work on your door
The door looks good.
Hey we guys did an amazing job the house looks beautiful but I would change the color of the door a pop of yellow or a pretty green or a brighter color wreath ❤
Dark Green would look good.
Kayla! Please, do not change the color of your front door. You did a wonderful job and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it!! It's beautiful!! Another thing go and get something to treat your whole yard, treat your windows, doors, and whatever else to keep mosquitoes, insects, and spiders and spider webs away!!! I buy a chemical every summer and attach it to the water hose and treat all outside areas and I don't see not one bug for the whole summer. Also I think you guys can map out a day and time for maintaining the look of the outside of the house and yard. Like maybe once every two months to keep things looking good and up to par. Because once things get out of hand it makes it harder to clean it up. Love and appreciate all the hard work and effort that you are doing as always. See ya next time.
Love it God bless you both 🎉❤❤❤❤
I love the door but I know you love a pop of color. I think you should leave it until fall when you will inevitably repaint it! 😊
Oh I needed this video today, thanks Kayla 😁
Yay! I'm so glad I could post today! Thanks for watching 🤗
Looks cute!
The house and colors are perfect...just needs a POP OF COLOR in the door wreath and flower boxes...that's all😊
I love the look of the door, but a pop of color might be nice.. maybe a deep coral, Tiffany blue or Peacock blue
I love the door
If a hydrangea develops yellow leaves, this usually indicates a nitrogen or nutrient deficiency - especially iron - in combination with a pH value that is too high. It's best to use a fertilizer containing nitrogen or iron to reduce the pH of the soil.
Suggestion , I'd get some hedge clippers for the hedges
Great work
Love it!!!
