Same here, unfortunately I did recently bought some movie on UA-cam digitally and unfortunately since that update to cap video quality on a stupid pay wall my movies can only play at 480p locked on my tv! And yes I'm a Premium member on top of it!
@@dantasticmania8728 Same. Although I did find that if you did buy the movie at UHD, you can go on your TV and you will get the full 4K. This will obviously depend on your TV though.
The only thing I find annoying is that movies anywhere can’t play certain movies such as Paramount movies as well as changing languages on different devices.
The only issue I have with this service is something that I'm sure is out of Disney's control: It's only available in the U.S. Other than that, it's the best to ever happen to digital movies! It's wonderful to see the movie companies do something that's actually consumer-friendly.
I think I’m going to stick to UA-cam. Seems google has the money to maintain licenses for sale in terms of copyright agreements. Not to mention almost every device ever has access to UA-cam. Two factor authentication sign in so no one else can try to sneak into your account to buy movies for themselves. UA-cam Movies is a great option for me.
I wasn't buying 4k digital movies because I thought they wouldn't play unless I had a 4k player. Turns out that I was wrong. However, fortunately for me, VUDU, where I buy all my digital movies, recently upgraded all my movies to 4K at no charge.
Always available. Never had an issue and never heard of issues with collections on Apple. They are a huge and secure company that has been around since the 80s, so I am sure we are good. Even companies like Ultra Violet had ways to transfer and keep all your digital movies safely to other platforms when they went out of business. Once you connect to Movies Anywhere, you can have your Apple movie collection available across multiple platforms.
what about cross platform, where can i buy the movie but it shows up on another app cause there linked? (for example i have spider man nwm and i can watch it on movies anywhere, but scream 5 i cant watch unless i'm on youtube or google)
Do movies bought on Apple TV go to iTunes? Or vice versa? Or should I buy movies on iTunes before downloading them to Apple TV? I should buy movies on iTunes on a computer.
@@robertrains2353Thank you, sorry for the delay. If I buy movies on iTunes in SD (standard definition) on an iPhone, will I only be allowed to watch them in SD? Or do I have to buy movies in HD (high definition) for better quality? Do I get both HD and SD for buying movies in HD?
What if movies anywhere goes out of business in 4-5 years and you have all your collection on there. Do you loose all your movies ?$$$$ that’s the only thing I’m scared of
That is a good question; since Movies Anywhere connects your movie library to other digital media accounts (like Vudu, Apple/iTunes, etc.), your movies would still be safely available there if their company went under. A good example of this is how Ultra Violent digital movies went under, but all the movies remained available that were redeemed from their company on other digital movie accounts. It's also unlikely that big players like Movies Anywhere will go out of business. Especially since their revenues and popularity keep increasing. Even with this, I still love and appreciate physical media as well.
Think of it like this, if the likes of Amazon or Apple go under or decide to stop offering an app for streaming in the next 10-20 years have you really lost anything? I collected DVDs for over 10 years and then moved onto Blu Ray & got rid of my DVD’s overtime, those DVDs are worth pretty much nothing now so I’ve not really lost anything, just moved on with the times and I had my fun from them when I had them.
Is Beetlejuice really available in 4K digitally? I bought the 4k disc set a few years ago, but found the included Blu-Ray disc didn't have the new transfer on it. It was just the old Blu-Ray disc from 10 years ago. I don't have a 4K TV yet, but wanted to watch it with the new transfer. And I put in my digital code at the time, and it was just the 10 year old transfer digitally. So I've been waiting to watch it when I could watch the new transfer on my regular HD TV. Thanks. I have no clue if they ever put the new transfer on a regular Blu-Ray disc. I did complain a few years ago to whoever owns the rights that I wanted the 4K transfer to be available digitally too. One thing that can be annoying when buying digitally. Is say if you have the Blu-Ray version. And then they do a 4K version and totally wreck the color grading or whatever. And then they automatically "upgrade" you to the new crappy 4K transfer version. That could be annoying. I'd wish they'd just make both versions available so you can choose which version to watch instead of them only letting you watch whatever the latest version is. This is why I pretty much only buy physical movies. I only do the digital code because they come free with the physical disc. So why not?
Please help me, how do I get a company that supports nun us/uk movie licensing I'm from Africa, and build my movies streaming platform But I need to acquire movies my subscribers
I have movies on both Apple TV and vudu, but not all of my movies transfer from Apple to vudu. Why is that? For example, I bought a physical copy of sonic the hedgehog and redeemed it on Apple. I’ve done this same thing with several other movies and they transfer without issue.
Hey so is it the same thing when you buy a movie from iTunes Store compared to Apple TV like for example on iTunes I bought dragon ball super broly for the highest price available which was 14.99$ plus tax it was 16.23$ and it was on hd so would that mean it would be in 1080p or 720p and is it the same when you buy a movie from Apple TV? Cause I buy my movies on iTunes and they pass on to Apple TV where it shows I purchased them and it doesn’t give me a purchase option again unless the movie is in Japanese so is it the same? Am I good? Sorry for asking alot of questions at the same time I bought them through my iPhone btw
Yes, purchasing movies from the iTunes store is the same as purchasing from Apple TV. As long as you use the same account sign-in info for both, your purchased movies should show in your collection on both. Purchasing movies from iTunes is the same as Apple TV. They are the same. Also, if you bought a movie in 1080p it will be 1080p on either one.

@@CJ_00 the great thing about Apple/iTunes movies , is that purchased movies will display at the best resolution format no matter how you purchased them from iTunes/Apple. Not a very helpful video. You warn people about redeeming movies on the wrong platform, but don't tell them how to figure out how to choose the correct platform.
I think he did but you missed the point. A lot of people don't make a big hype out of 4k, dolby atmos, and dolby vision.
