Jim Merod, BluePort Jazz founder and artistic director of the Jazz Monsters Series and Jazz Festival Series, speaks with Joe Lovano and his band members about their individual histories and what it’s like to play in the Nonet. Included is rehearsal footage allowing a look into the creative process as well as clips from the public concert. I believe the piece Ralph is playing is a Francois Louis custom, he's been playing it for over 20 years. Lovano, who has a shop full of equipment, looks to be playing a gold plated mkvi with a KB neck??
