Ascnet try to force Alpha to 2nd screening to become stronger & become the knight of Ascnet (she rejected still just like how she refuse to become Agent). A reminder; Hetero-Tower =/= Ascnet They are 2 different thing but exist to screen & select the choosen one. Both are passive aggressive & will against each other. As who the creator of the Tower, nobody knows as of now, but predictably the Observer/Higher dimensional being who presumably have witness phenomenons on the sidelines.

So, to prevent our Lucia from becoming an Ascendant, Alpha temporarily on truce with Lucia and also trying to visit the institution from an invitation of someone (Lilith). Lucia and Alpha still had different path to take.
they have different roles - you want to get both (Lee is on the fire team, Crimson Weave is on the Lightning team). However to answer your question, Crimson Weave does more damage

And he can also calculate enemies’ attacks to position himself in such a way that he doesn’t get hit. Well that is his power inside of the tower; outside of it he isn’t as strong but still very powerful

@@Prodigal450 i agree with Empyrea frame, but i'd disagree plume sure it'd be stronger, but Plume was the first specialized frame to be created, aside from being more powerful than non-specialized frame, there isn't much about it. kinda like a stat-upgrade with no special ability to add on top of it. unless they wanted to go with "oh yeah we still haven't tapped into Ascendant side of the first 2 Specialized Frame".

Probably stronger than crimson weave at the moment but once his frame is perfected he'll be even stronger same with emprea and Plume
