Wow, haven't seen "fresh water" reds since Colorado City in West Tx. Salinity used to be high enough there they were breeding. Nice day on the water, thx for the video.
My craziest freshwater catch was a Flounder while yo-yoing a lipless crankbait. It was in the St. Johns River but all the way down in the Astor area which is a good ways south.
In many areas, they call redfish, red bass. They will eat anything a largemouth will eat. The only issue that I have have found is that redfish will usually destroy a bass lure in short order. Hooks and rings are the first thing I change. Great fishing!
This lake is freshwater, stocked with redfish every year as redfish cannot reproduce in freshwater but can survive. 642,885 redfish were just put into this lake a couple months ago

Come to the coast and chase some big speckled trout on glides/swimbaits with me this winter!

Love this video bro! I love catching reds on the Texas bay systems. Try it down here in the lower laguna madre. We’ll get some good tacks 🌮

You need to change your title redfish is saltwater fish not freshwater now you can find them in brackish water but that salt content is needed.

This lake contains a lot of calcium that’s the only way red fish can survive in fresh
