you’re the best. just used this for my Yamaha R7. I already ordered a return spring thinking that was the issue and then I came across this 😂
This was the problem with my bike FZR 600, just needed some lube at the foot peg / shift lever from being dry. The bike now shifts into gear, great video.
“80% or 90% of the people are having this problem” I said to myself BS! i went out and my shifter was stiff as a board! I lubed it up and it works awesome thank you man appreciate it thought I was gonna need to remove the shifting spring thank god!
After lubing the ball joints of the quickshifter, my bike shift with way less effort for the foot. It seems like a different bike now.
It was very helpful, thanks for sharing this video.
Hey! Just wanted to send a big thanks as your video helped me understand why after I installed rearsets on my Z900, it wouldn't shift into 2nd gear. (it was due to the dot on the shift cylinder thingamabob being misaligned). I had no idea about that dot! You're the best and thanks again for the helpful video.
Shops will charge you an arm and a leg to look at it. And will tell you'll need a new transmission along with an engine overhaul 😂
Thanks for the great explanation!
I had same problemit happened after changing oil
Ur video helped me out fixin it . thanks
Thanks and I have ktm 200 duke. I have that issue with spring broken. I didn't know what do we call it but your video helped. The service center has mentioned same it cost less and its minor problem. I too got scared
Good video! Hopefully this works laid my bike down a year ago. Was only going between 3 4 5 gears. Now n 1 2. God I hope this is my problem.
Really appreciate the help!
Thank you, helped me find out my 01r6 shifter mount was bent so my shifter rod was rubbing on the chassis where I was almost ready just to send it to yammy..
Great video you ran over everything and you said what all symptoms are and what they can cause. I hope I can fix my bike. Appreciate it man.
Thanks it helped a lot!😎
Freaking lifesaver, the very exact thing changed oil a few weeks back bike was tripping oiled down the spots you spoke of just a few minutes ago and nine is fantastic! Thanks sir
Great video !
Had a similar problem with 2013 r1, turns out the shift rod was adjusted too high also the slide motion up and down was kind of sluggish so I sprayed it with some wd40. Adjust the clutch cable and the rod mechanism should resolve your problem.
Do i need to take that thingy out to lube it or do i just spray it on there with the cap off?
Very helpful
I’m am gonna try to lube everything up , my 08 M109 won’t go up from 2nd . Did a clutch plate change which it needed. Now I’m having this issue.
Hey I'm having problems with that same situation but I don't got a line and a dot to show me where to put it back to I got a 2004 gsxr 1000 and I replaced the gear shifter because the last one broke and I took it off can't put it back in its original place can you help me??😢
Mine won’t go on neutral on a complete stop but when engine is off goes like butter. What could be the problem?
Hey bro, how do you get the dot to line up? do i have to take the linkage off from the shaft?
Take the bolt off the shifter rod and pull it out cafully alight it properly with the teeth and tight it back up
@@rossesteban7859 I did it mate, thanks all the same. Since doing it, i've had no problem changing gears at all. The last person to touch it was the yamaha mechanic???
My problem is I’m stuck in between 1st and 2nd gear the bike skips past neutral and won’t upshift into 3rd… happened while I was riding
Yeah mine doesn’t return back after shifting, what’s the name of the spring i need?
“I like to get to the chase” doesn’t get to the chase first 3 fken minutes repeating the same thing over and over
My problem is once im in third and begin to slow down, my bike wont shift into second or first unless i make a complete stop? Please help
My r1 wont shift into second but it wil if the engine is not running
@@mowercameron27 bought a new engine. The gearbox was broken. The shift fork is bend thats why it doesnt shift
Bro get to the point omg
Thanks very informational & helpful good video🤙🏻
Thank you so much.
My motorcycle is a Yamaha R1 and I was about to pull it apart thinking it was the gear lever internal spring.
So glad I saw your video.
That’s exactly what the problem was.
Thanks again great video.
