Some snow can be fluffy and powdery kinda like flour and it packs together nicely to make good snowballs, next is slushy snow which is when it snowed then rained or half melted snow (very wet snow) theres also hail which is ice and snow, uhh and lastly "normal snow" which is kinda like very fine sugar but I hope that helped and I suggest watching a snow making tutorial to make it in your freezer or buy instant snow!

As for your question, it feels like very crushed up ice. If you've ever had a snow cone before, it's exactly like that. When I was a kid I remembered distinctly going into my local zoo and then climbing this tower that went above the tiger cage and I think there was a hole somewhere but yeah and there was a tiger right underneath us
Most penguins actually live in warm places, only 3/16 penguin types live in cold places. ( I believe 3/16 is correct, I am not sure though, as I learned this on a school trip to the zoo last school year.) Also, in your other videos you often put 2 Fancy pillars ( or pillars that arent just straight ) on top of each other, it looks way better if you just resize the pillar, because you won´t have the thing that sticks out in the middle.

Great build! This reminds me, once I went on vacation and we went to a zoo. When we finished at the gift shop, I threw up so I didn't get to see the other animals lol
For the Lion cage and penguin cage i recommend using the basement and that one ramp thingy in stairs because most zoos the lion is enclosed like deep and for the penguin u should also make it a basement but not all the way down but u should use a basic shape to level it up then add the ramp for like an ice slope :))
To answer your question, snow is mostly cold and wet. To give you more of an idea of what it looks like, you can crush ice cubes for yourself, for example in a blender. Although snow also changes due to temperature or weather, so not always it looks the same

edit: I'm from jersey (not New Jersey its in the Channel Islands near England) and the gorilla Alaska showed at 12:34 is a gorilla which I think was in jersey zoo (its rly called darrel zoo), if I'm right the story is a kid fell in the enclosure but the main gorilla protected the child from the other gorillas and gently watched over him before staff rescued the boy (the gorilla was called jumbo) so yh lil fact right there for ya
