- Drivers dodged tumbleweeds Wednesday on Interstate 5 in central California. The National Weather Service warned of wind gusts up to 65 mph along part of I-5 as a major storm hits the region.
A powerful Pacific jet stream is bringing two dangerous storms fueled by an atmospheric river to the West Coast.
This first storm is bringing a "significant threat to the safety of Californians," Brian Ferguson, spokesman for the state's Office of Emergency Operations Services, warned on Wednesday.
Flash flooding, mudslides and strong winds are possible in parts of the state.

One late November night in S. Dakota I heard a scratching at the storm door of my apartment. I investigated the noise and discovered a tumbleweed trying to get inside. I brought it into the apartment and decorated it like a Christmas tree. It was so very happy after that, as all it’s life it wandered the prairie looking for a purpose and a home. After the new year I removed all the ornaments and lights and set it free in order for it to tell all it’s buddies of its experience.
LOL instead of deer crossing signs, they need tumble weed signs.
I saw one of those one time by a California freeway and the tumble weed was taller than my car😂
Just rolling along with the tumblin' tumble weeds.

It does kinda suck when one gets stuck under your car. It'll scrape along for miles and miles before it breaks up enough to fall out

@@DailyTheme they are all over Colorado! Where they are growing, they cut you like razor blades. They have beautiful little flower though. I think the wildlife eat them? I always wore big Wellington boots. I dont like those cowboy boots..

I used to live in a windy part north of Reno, NV. One day it was super windy. I came home to 5 super large tumble weeds in front of my door. 😮

Considering that Tumbleweed can weigh up to 13 pounds and reach up to 6 feet tall, they can most certainly damage a car.

@nathandodge665 except their hiking trails and public lands. I did the longest trail in Texas in a single day. Only 4% of Texas is Public Land, compared to over 50% of Arizona, which boats an over 800 mile trail. Texas is weak sauce
