Firstly, three-fourths of the budget is allocated to the defense ministry, making it hypothetically fully autonomous. Also, the army chief does not come under the command of the Prime Minister, or even the President. How ridiculous is that? Secondly, the ruling government appoints the army chiefs, and since 2008, these ruling parties have been corrupt, such as PPP & PML(N). These army chiefs were not faithful and loyal to their country, but prioritized their personal interests over the nation's. Thirdly, people were unaware of the army's interference in politics until Imran Khan exposed it. Without a firm proof of this interference, the people could have done nothing.
Furthermore, Pakistan's enemies like India, Israel, and the USA have always been on the lookout to lure such corrupt COAS to make them their puppets, which was eventually achieved by Qamar Javed Bajwa's realization. Basically, whoever holds the power of COAS in Pakistan holds the power of the ruler. And if that person is your puppet, you indirectly rule the country. Let me ask you this: in India's 75-year history, has any army chief declared martial law? NO? Well, on the contrary, there have been a total of five in Pakistan.
However, as people have become aware of these politics, they will never allow it to happen again. Imran Khan was a revolutionary step in Pakistan's politics. All we can do is hope that the country is revived from this political & economic depression as soon as possible.

There are many examples of it. Only people stood up against it, and new separate nations formed. Just what the case of East and West Pakistan was. After the general elections, Bengalis were intentionally not given power. Currently, the Pakistanis fully understand what the actual cause of the fall of Dhaka was. The martial law of Yahya Khan was the actual explanation of that war. Bengalis were persecuted on the order of Yahya Khan. Bengalis then stood up against it, resulting in Bangladesh. I would prefer not to go into detail but you get my point: our army chiefs have been interfering in our politics since 1947. And let me be clear that while we hate our army chiefs, in no way does that mean we hate our army. If otherwise had been the case, the country would not have lasted a year.
