Tom, this is very useful information for me, as there is little video on Actor Framework. I hope UA-cam does not only award you by the view numbers, and it is simply not fair.
Hi Tom, thanks for this amazing tutorial. It would be fantastic if you can provide all example codes in LV 16 or earlier ( i know you've made some codes in LV 15 and many thanks for that). Thanks and looking forward to more videos here
hi, found some weird behavior, when you make a change in your dispatch vi (like disconnecting a terminal), this change is NOT transmitted to an earlier made message. is there an easy fix?
Hey Tom, I forgot to wire the string control to the terminal. I was unable to figure out how to get the terminal added after I already created the message. Do you know how to solve that issue?
I'm sure the first time we saw a State Machine we thought it was complicated, the same with QMH, but as we learnt more about them, they became straightforward to understand. The same is true for Actor Framework. I'm sure everyone thinks it's complicated at first, but then it will make sense, the more we use and understand it.
You are the coolest. I never thought I would understand AF even slightly. Thank you.
Thanks! I'm glad you have a bit of an understanding now :)
You are a hero, I wouldn't be suprised if this is better than NI's $2K videos lol

Damn!!... Actor Framework made easy!!! ✌
It can get very complicated! ;)
But I like taking things one step at a time
Tom! brilliant Job and thank you for your videos. God bless you

Hi,Tom.Could you post a video on the use of EventSource and Actor in conjunction, which you've been studying recently but don't quite understand.
That's a good idea, I could do a video on advanced event handling using userevents, callbacks and registered events(event source)

Indeed there is!
If you right-click the message and select "rescript message" the connector pane will update
Hi Tom, at 36 seconds... I cannot see the menu option 'Actor' I am using Labview 14 but missing some setup options possibly?
Hi Chris,
In LV14 you should see 'Actor' when right clicking "Computer>New>Actor" this is native in LV from 2011 I think.

Hey Colin, absolutely, connect the terminal to the connector pane then right click the message class goto Actor Framework>Rescript Message :)
@@TomsLabVIEWAdventure Cheers! I now see this is covered in episode 6 as well haha
Why its complicated?
