Electric Banana Band was huge in the 80s and the 90s. Several of the members are famous for other projects as well in Sweden. The guitarist, Janne Schaffer, plays on many of Abbas biggest hits. For instance, he plays and also wrote the guitar hook in Mamma Mia.

Lasse Åberg have a museum. We go there to eat now and then. We meet him lots of time. He is building a playpark outside with a djungeltheme and inside the museum he has a djungelthemed room where the kids love to play. He is really Nice!

This is not the real video 😂 They sing about living in a mushroom and it is a kid band 😊

Svamp = mushroom. (Zwamp is just a silly alternative spelling). In the lyrics, they're mentioning a number of specific mushrooms, including champignon (Agaricus).

No, they are not talking about getting high on mushrooms. It's about not liking the modern city life and wanting to live in a mushroom instead. Not taking mushrooms. The lyrics are very easy to understand for children. They're just silly.
This is not the original video. Just a collection of clips someone put together. Some of the clips fit isolated words in the lyrics, but juding from your reaction, they obviously don't do justice to the content. The video gives the song a completely unapt psychadelic impression.

Several Swedish TV-program for children through the last 50 years has been made by the most creative and skilful people. Lasse Åberg, artist, preformer, moviemaker, designer etc. is the tall guy. The "zebra" man is one of Swedens most experienced studio muscians, Janne Schaffer. The best hit song from the childrens program was "Banankontakt", loved by children and adults.
George Riedel, great jazz musician, wrote much of the music to movies/series based on Astrid Lindgren's stories. The music to Pippi Longstocking was however written by another great Swedish jazz musician, Jan Johansson. Check his jazz version of the traditional folk song "Visa fran Utanmyra". He died 1968 in a car accident.
The connection between mushrooms and drugs in Sweden is weak. Mushrooms in Sweden, especially for children, is more connected with walk in the forest with the family, collect mushrooms, have the mushrooms in the dinner.

The refrain is "I want to live in a mushroom otherwise I get cramps" svamp - mushroom and cramp rhymes.

. Its absolut made for children. My kids loved it, and thank God, they grow up just fine. In the 1980,s I saw no harm aboat it, but now I understand your reacting. We swedes were kind of naiv backthen.
