    This was an amazing cave dive with scooters from Cenote Nohoch to Blue Abyss - 4 hours on rebreathers filmed on GoPro10 mounted on scooters and the last leg without scooters / handheld in a diving housing. No color correction

    Hi Guys, Quick question: How deep is the shaft of the Blue Abyss before it starts going through restrictions (i.e. the boulders at the bottom)? Thank you! Great Video, Great Musics. You are big boys so I am not going to comment on the naughty PPO2.

      P.S. I am planning to visit from the Pet cemetery and I am planning the best Trimix to bring to visit the bottom of the Abyss prior to the restrictions. Any insight is much welcome!

      @@RiccardoSailing we are now in Tulum. We also want to do it from pet cemetery (with tx this time☺️). I think the boulders are around 70m. But best is to talk to the guys at Protec for more details. Thanks for the comment!

    What a beautiful video and scenary... Until the last few minutes of risking death 😳

    The fact that Patrik has been involved in the plura cave disaster doesn't make this seem less reckless tbh. Stay safe 🙏

      @@nik23255 Patrick is a great friend and we dove many times. Again, as my other replies, if a dive of aprox 3 hrs (with aversge depth of 4 meters) has a 1 minute of high ppo2 - and this makes it a reckless dive - then yes you are correct. 🤗

    That’s some crazy risk. That’s really far back to deal with a toxing diver

      Not really! the "fun" was just a couple of seconds at bottom. then all good on the way up. We never take silly risks. We beleive in natural selection, so we take cave diving seriously

    Amazing Video, keep posting! But why taking 32 as diluent?

    • @danandreibadiu
      @danandreibadiu  3 роки тому

      Thank you for the kind comment! Because, unfortunately in Tulum due to the average depths the standard in refilling is 32 and it was rather cumbersome to get air in the diluent (at our go to refill station). So we decided to go like this. It was a good experience in seeing how it will feel like with a PPO2 of 1.9 even for a couple of minutes. Water was 26 degrees celsius.

      I guess you are here because of Dive Talk video. 👍🏻🤗
      I left a lengthy comment there. Maybe it will answer your question.

    why not do "exercise" underwater to burn some of the o2 in the loop?!

    • @watoriocean6762
      @watoriocean6762 5 місяців тому

      or at least switch to low SP 5min before going down...

    • @danandreibadiu
      @danandreibadiu  5 місяців тому

      @@watoriocean6762 well it s true your body metabolizes O2 so all other conditions unchanged, the ppo2 at same depth will decrease slowly at some point.
      However, if you need more gas volume in the loop from going down then the pp of diluent (in my case 32%) will increase again your ppo2 plus “going down” increases your ppo2.
      Also, understand that the dive had an average depth of 4 meters (cenote Noh Hoch) and we only descended at Blue Abyss to 40+m to film it and only then for 1 min the ppo2 was high 1.8.
      So, the discussion of high ppo2 for this dive is a bit artificial and done by people that neither dive a ccr nor really know this dive in particular.
      Thanks for the comment! 🤗
