I love how you organize your fragrances experience in a spread sheet. watching this vid was refreshing. I am still new to wearing fragrance and so I’m still figuring out what I like and what doesn’t work for me. And watching fragrance vids on UA-cam sometimes makes me feel like I have to love what everyone else is loving, but this vid shows that it’s ok not to love everyone else’s fav and even if you liked something before it’s ok to not like it as much now and to pass it along for someone else to experience. So thanks for this☺️
Thanks so much for sharing your experience - yes there can be lots of pressure to like certain things or buy them because they are considered “must haves” but really, every perfume collection, big all small is a very personal, carefully curated gallery of scent that may very well change over time. I definitely advise sampling lots and avoiding buying full bottles too soon - please keep me posted! 😊💞
I have enjoyed watching you today Sept. 20, 2020. I like perfumes like you and I have collected more than a hundred in the last couple of years. I really enjoy the, and most of them I buy blindly and most of them turn out good. I put the perfumes on daily a few times a day, and my favorite kind is floral perfumes and vintage perfumes. I buy perfumes daily on line and I look forward to getting them in the mail, opening the packages and then enjoying smelling them. I enjoy watching You Tube fragrance videos and see how women enjoy the fragrances. I like the way you describe your fragrances, and you are very pretty and a classy lady. I am 73 years old, and I live in Raleigh, NC, for the last 17 years, and I lived in Los Angeles, California, for 40 years, and I was born in Israel in 1947, coming to America with my parents in 1960 and I lived in New York up to the age of 17 when we moved to California where my Asthma was cured because of the dry warm weather. I converted to Christianity from Judaism and I enjoy my relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.
Thank you so much for sharing your story! Wow you have a fascinating life! Do you have any favourites from your collection? What would be your most prized vintage fragrance? I obviously wear several fragrances per day as well haha and yes definitely part of the thrill of a new purchase (and especially a blind buy) is the anticipation of opening them! Thank you for your support and for being here. Please do share some of your favourite youtube fragrance reviewers so that others may also discover them (including me!) 😊
Same here, I don't get coconut in these two either, neither in tresor nude, so I'm really wondering what people are talking about 🙄. Sense of smell is so different in every person, I learnt that.
I just discovered your channel and I love your demeanor! New subscriber here! I also have to agree about Delina - it's lovely but I don't always love it on ME. :). I finally just finished the video - you mentioned at the end to let you know how you go through the process of getting rid of perfumes, I also have a channel and I frequently do decluttering videos. You've actually inspired me to do another one tonight so that should be going up sometime this weekend. :). Great video!! I love your style, keep it up!
Spreadsheeeetsss! Yes, very sensible. I see myself approaching 100 bottles and would like to get closer to 50, pleased that I recently have sold a few actually. I think it's a bit of a constant curation process. It's hard sometimes, but best to let go of your darlings when they are no longer true darlings🤪. I enjoyed this video, thanks Cherie.
If you like TRUE jasmine notes, A La Nuit by Serge Lutens is unmatched. It is a solinote jasmine. I have tried SO many jasmine fragrances (niche and designer), and none take the place of A La Nuit. Let me know if you try it. These days you can only get it from his direct website and it has become more pricey, of course!!
Well done Cherie, this step is the hardest but at least now you know what you don't want. I am currently at 102 bottles and ideally want between 60 amd 80
i know Im randomly asking but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Gael Trenton I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
It would be so much easier for us if designers would sell a 10ml bottle in their range (occasionally they do but it's rare). Not only would it be affordable, we wouldn't be stuck with nearly full 100ml bottles of perfumes we don't love.
I was thinking about a trip to Morocco but pandemic put the brakes on. I took a cruise to japan, was you trip pleasure or work. I was impressed you had fragrance I have never seen. Thanks for video!
Coincidentally, whenever I've had a cull of my fragrance collection, I've always seemed to eventually dislike the designer fragrances rather than the niche. I've only kept a couple clean and soapy ones for indoors or just quickly nipping out. Looking at my fragrances, I think I've turned into a fragrance snob. Enjoyed the vid. Keep up the good work, Cherie.
Haha nothing wrong with that! Why can’t we be selective about how we want to smell? Its such a personal thing. thanks for being here and for the feedback! 😉❤️
Watching a whole year later and wow, I’ve had that Green Tea and gave it away and also swapped my Light Blue Intense at about the same time you did!!! I’ve held on to my Florabotanica though and people keep requesting decants of it which is hilarious.
I need to do this so badly, but I've never sold a perfume before and it seems like it would be a hassle to do it. I plan on giving some of mine away, but with the pandemic I'm not really seeing anyone. So I guess I'm stuck with them for a while! Loved the video, Cherie.
Thanks Jim! Yes I’m not gonna lie it’s a hassle once you have a pile of fragrances looking at you which you don’t know what to do with lol. I will give it a limited shot at selling them and then they will be donated. It’s a lot of effort to sell stuff I’ve realised. 😬
Argh!!!! Kicking myself for finding you too late!!! Loved watching this.... but you decluttered some of my favourites and the whole time I’m watching I’m thinking, please be in the UK so that I can take some of these off your hands haha. I love Lira! It’s definitely one of my favourite gourmands ever! And then Florabotanica! If they haven’t sold yet then I’d be very interested 😊
Currently decluttering myself... Very hard to make decisions! What I discovered works for me: I will put the fragrance in question away from the display and see if I miss it. If not - to Mercari it goes :)
I recently discovered your channel and really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing. My dislike of wearing perfumes with detectable vanilla, sandalwood or patchouli thankfully acts as preemptive decluttering! I especially enjoyed your video on Miller et Bertaux fragrances. I bought Menta y Menta and enjoy it; I find it good to wear when I have a headache. Very therapeutic. Have a good week.
Really enjoyed your declutter. . I need to do the same. Interestingly, Florabotanica is one I often question about selling. . I hardly ever reach for it, and it does end up very strong, but every once in a while it hits the spot with its punch of mint, rose and green freshness. So it's safe for now. Lol xxx
I'm loving your videos since I discovered the channel last week. I recently decluttered and sold 3 fragrances and it felt cathartic to clear room and make some money back! You've got me back in the decluttering spirit now 😳😂😂
Thank you! I’m glad you are finding it inspirational! Yes saying goodbye is hard but then being able to welcome newbies into the fold “guilt free” is also a lovely feeling! 😃
Just came across your channel and really like your taste in fragrance. Random comment: You remind me of the main character in the Swedish Netflix series "Love and Anarchy"!
Chance EDP is my top fragrance for work. I layer with Kayali musk/ Narciso pure musc. It is a lifer for me. ❤️🌹 I luuuuv musk based fragrances. The second half of this video made me really sad. 🥲😂
I just sold my Florabotanica too. I just used to wear it to the gym. I love super florals but they need to be exceptional. This one to me was ok. Nothing groundbreaking....
I agree with so many of these! I also don’t like to smell “delicious”, but I do like Lira occasionally. It’s funny you wore so much Pluriel and then were suddenly done! I also prefer L’Instant edt. I think it’s too much honey in the edp. I have a travel size of Florabotanica. I agree, it’s just a bit much. Joy - I have a tiny sample coming in the mail! Petit Robe - way way too sweet , Delina - agree. I think we have some similar tastes. I’m sampling Chanel Allure edp and have a sample of Allure Sensuelle coming. Do you have any thoughts on those?
Haha sounds like we may indeed have similar tastes! I have Allure EDP and love that, am on my second bottle but interestingly I didn’t love Eau Sensuelle although I know a lot of people do. I should probably revisit it though, perhaps I would like it now. Thanks for watching! Let me know how you go with Joy and Allure, I’m interested to know! 😃
You should review Allure edp - there’s hardly anything on you tube about it. Is it just me, or do you find similarities between it and Coco edp? I’m trying to decide which one to buy. Maybe I’ll have to get both!
Great video! I constantly try to declutter scents I don't love. Fun to see your picks, though I must say I am a lover of Delina Exclusif and Lira. I sold my Jasmins Marzipane also. It just wasn't for me.
I just started a spreadsheet for mine and I don’t even have that many bottles yet! Shame you didn’t like Lira but now you said it’s like a citrus cake it puts me off buying a decant haha the citrus scares me.

I think declutters are kind of fun and therapeutic, especially for those of us with large collections 😍👍 I also did one recently 💕
I also used to loooooove My Burbery. And now I can't imagine putting it on.
I love Miracle 💗 a scent-imental perfume for me ❤️
It is well-loved for sure :)

Me too, it was the first perfume my now husband bought for me!
