I would love this in the folder. I always experiment with new amps, but at the end of the day, I always come back to classic Fender tones. This preset sounds amazing.
Thanks for taking the time to explain why you choose different mics/amps etc - it’s really helpful for someone like me that has no real-world experience with these things.
Lovely tone! Top drawer playing! I'm relatively new to Helix and am finding the field of choice dominated by distortion. Obviously there are no metalheads in my house, though an occasional good quality melodic shred beyond repetitive power bar chords and third generation three-note bend ruts is most welcome. I'd really like to expand the library of cleans to provide better balance, and be more selective with dirt. This channel really helps with the technical settings and has the bonus of being inspirational. Kudos John!
Hey John, Try using the Minotaur, Gain 1.5, Tone about 5ish, Level 7.0 instead of the Scream 808 for a different "Strat-ey" kinda tone! I think that you will like it. Add a little light Adriatic Delay and that Dynamic Ambience (at 12 meters - I wish you could fine tune that room size more!).
I really love this tone. I have a Helix Floor and an old Strat with EMG David Gilmour pickups and circuitry. I’m going to give this a try. Thanks for sharing brother!
Thanks for the walkthrough. Duped the tone on my Stomp and am really enjoying it with my MIM Strat! Was considering buying another Neural DSP amp during Black Friday sale, but this tone convinced me I don't need to!
Yes!! Great 'feel' video. Thanks for the free setting info...it really helped this old guy get some great tones. HX Stomp is the best bang for the buck!
John you are a literal helix wizard. I dont think my presets would sound as good if it werent for you! Love your album btw. Can't believe you don't promote that at all cause it has some beautiful tracks on it.
It's been a long time since I've played a real Fender Amp, but of the the Factory Presets, the US Princess reminds me most of the deep, round fullness they have in the bass. But, it's been a long time.
Pls drop it in the folder. It’s great 👍🏻 Would love to see a video of yours explaining the different EQs in the stomp. I never use them. I’m afraid of them 😅
Love clean tones! The Helix gear sounds spectacular when starting with Cleans and adding all sorts of Helix Firmware FX, Drive, Cabs, Mics, etc. Keep up the content!
Thanks for this. Dialed it in on my XL from the video. I’m finally getting the best out of my EJ Strat. With a little tweaking, it also gets a great funk tone. This clean tone could be the base for so many individual tones. Nice work.
Really nice tone John ,I do a lot of pausing duing you video to copy your settings. Normally I don't copy other players tones ,but I find yours are outstanding. Good work , keep it up .
I always forget the trick with setting the scale to 80% to get the 'Timmons' dual sound on the Elephant Man. So I end up using the Dual Delay which doesn't have the same mojo. Thanks for this. I've copied the amp/cab settings for now and it sounds great with my Tele. If you do decide to drop it in the folder, I'll still grab it too
I love this content and this tone, John. I'm always looking for a proper clean tone that has body and character without much clippi- alll through the power of the HX Stomp. Thanks for sharing your settings!
this is an amazing job and a great tone, my question is on the parameters for the elephant man, are they different on the Floor? I am running 3.5 but you have a couple that are different than mine, you have "spread" and "Scale", on the floor I have no such parameters but I have Headroom, wondering what the Dif is
Couldn't wait for the ball to drop so I followed your tutorial and built the preset. I agree this is the best Fender clean preset you've created, perfect stat tone. If you could also post the backing track, that would be a bonus, thanks.
Love your stuff Johnathan… however I did the same settings on mine and it sounds horrid…. Maybe I’m not doing something right…do you have anything else going on there besides your displayed settings?
Thanks for sharing your tone secrets. I plugged my Les Paul into the preset. I was surprised how much hair was immediately in the tone, even without the first equation and TS808.. How would you adjust for Les Paul.? Less bass, less drive, or from volume control on guitar. I suspect I would have a similar experience with EMG strat pickups.
OOH - the darker version of this (moving the Mics to position 6.7) sounds really good I think! ua-cam.com/video/Tial-SgJIRM/v-deo.html
Your channel is the best dude. Thank you!
I would love this in the folder. I always experiment with new amps, but at the end of the day, I always come back to classic Fender tones. This preset sounds amazing.
John should be hired by Line 6, hands down. Who agrees??
Never knew the Twin could sound so full and expressive.
Thanks for taking the time to explain why you choose different mics/amps etc - it’s really helpful for someone like me that has no real-world experience with these things.
I just built this, sounds really good. I added a subtle harmonic tremolo. Great clean tone for days with the Strat. Thanks for the preset!
Changing out the cabs and a small EQ tweak made an enormous my near-field pups. TY for revisiting this preset.
Hey John, Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it and share it!
Can’t get enough of this. Excellent setup, John. I took the Spring out and put in a ‘70s Chorus. Nice option
Sounds great. Look fwd to downloading this later today, thank you 👍🏽

Definitely would like this in the folder although I set it up following your steps. I had a Twin for years. This captures it beautifully. Tanks, John!
I certainly do appreciate these videos in some small way. Cheers.

Beautiful tone! Sounds like it feels really good to play
Love your tones and will gladly comment to feed the algorithm!
Hey JC, please drop this one in the folder. Love your style brother.

Thanks John..
Always love your videos John!
Clean? Uh, yeah! Great tone, thanks JC.

Thanks for the walkthrough. Duped the tone on my Stomp and am really enjoying it with my MIM Strat! Was considering buying another Neural DSP amp during Black Friday sale, but this tone convinced me I don't need to!

John you are a literal helix wizard. I dont think my presets would sound as good if it werent for you! Love your album btw. Can't believe you don't promote that at all cause it has some beautiful tracks on it.
We should call him the MERLIN of the HELIX RHEALM!!!! The Wizard of helix tone.
I appreciate this John. Thank You

That’s phenomenal!!😊
I love this dudebro. I’m going to try to recreate it on my GT-1k.
I think that’s the best tone you’ve patched John . Thank you I’m using it tonight.
Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you:)
Sounds phenomenal! I always forget how good a tubescreamer sounds into a big fender.
Yeah sounds great John. It'd be great if you'd drop it in the folder, thanks Mark
Thanks , love your playing 👏👌
I dont have a Helix, DSP, Boss, FM3 or FM9 but i sure do appreciate this content.
And the noodling omg the noodling. 🤦🏿♂️
Mr. Cordy please put that preset in the rotation. Absolutely love it!!!

Tried this out and it sounds great!
Very nice! Please place it in the folder. Thanks, John
Thanks John. I'd love to have a version for Pod Go. I suppose I could replicate your settings used here.
Love it!
The pickups sound good in that guitar.
Sounds great, in the folder please 👍🏼
This sounds amazing!
One of your best tones to date
Their all great though
4038 is my fav mic in the helix
I always forget the trick with setting the scale to 80% to get the 'Timmons' dual sound on the Elephant Man. So I end up using the Dual Delay which doesn't have the same mojo.

Great tones! This definitely the tones you’ve been looking for. 🤖
Beautiful man🤘🏼
Awesome vid !!!! Does anyone know how he is getting his sound thru ? Is he using studio monitors ?
Please add to folder John. Super clean tones!
Yes sir,
John, do you float your trems? If yes, how tight are the crews that hold the base plate - tight to the wood that is. Thanks!
Can you do a video on getting clean and driven tones in the style of Eric Johnson using HX effects?
Sounds amazing! Folder, please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love your stuff Johnathan… however I did the same settings on mine and it sounds horrid…. Maybe I’m not doing something right…do you have anything else going on there besides your displayed settings?
I have the same tone with my diy pedals.
