    Nice, greatly produced video. First time I heard of other places to see in Harbin. This city is one of my favorite in China as it shows the diverse culture of the land. Also, I admired how they conserved not just the architectural structure of Harbin but also it wildlife particularly the Siberian tigers. Looking forward to visiting the place again.

      Thanks Rudyard. It is also one of my favorite cities. Hopefully, with Covid-19 under control China can be opened up to visitors once again.

    As mentioned I have several questions as I am very interested in doing a Harbin trip (DIY). I have done many DIY trips before. But this trip continues to elude me as I am apprehensive of the very cold and harsh weather would mar the pleasure of my trip. Anyway, here are the questions.
    1. How days in Harbin to cover the sights your mentioned?
    2. Which are the ones you used guided tour services? And can give an indication of prices you paid. Prices in CNY is alright.
    3. Which city did you fly into? I looked at your China playlist. I guessed it is Beijing and then a HSR trip from Beijing to Harbin.
    4. Where did you get your winter wear? From your home country or quickly ran off to their shops to purchase on arrival.
    5. You stayed at Club Med Yabuli. Was that worth it? If I decide on the trip and also to stay at Yabuli, it maybe late and too expensive. By the way, how did you get there. HSR?
    6. Did you do the Snow Town on a guided basis? And stayed there a night?
    6. From your trip, please tell what you wouldn't have done and what you would have added.

      Wow, that’s a lot of questions. Let me see. Will try to answer your questions as much as I can. Ok here goes. I would expect at least a week to thoroughly enjoy the sights. We flew in from Beijing and then took a domestic flight to Harbin. From the Harbin airport, we were supposed to take a train to Yabuli club med but there was a snow storm and we ended up on a bus ride there instead.

    • @gibbontravelogue
      @gibbontravelogue  2 місяці тому

      Continue… for winter wear, we brought our winter wear to Beijing and bought even warmer winter wear in Beijing. Not expensive at all.

    • @gibbontravelogue
      @gibbontravelogue  2 місяці тому

      Yes, we stayed in club med in Yabuli and it was really value for money. Full board and all expenses paid skiing. So if you or your family ski, it is definitely worth considering. Do check out the price down coz our trip was Dec 2019, just before Covid.
      Our Snow Town visit was with the local tour and yes, we stayed there for a night. Very memorable.

      @@gibbontravelogue Real sorry for asking lots of questions. Despite having done lots of DIY myself, I just like to have as much info as possible before pushing the button for a trip. A few more questions, specifically what month did you do your trip? I was hoping to do it in Dec but my wife was concerned that the Ice Festival may not have started yet. In regard to your Snow Town trip, my wife will search for Little Hongsu for info. I also saw a Indonesian blogger doing a day trip to Yabuli. I might just do that. And I am likely to fly via China Southern to Guangzhou, stay a few days using your UA-cam for a quick guide than hopped on a flight to Harbin. We want to bypass as we just did our Beijing our third time in March, concentrating on visit to Datong, Taiyuan and Pingyao this time. By the way I like both your Furong UA-cam (which I don't know when I can go since I have done Zhangjiajie years ago and loved your Dazu video. Was there in 2019.
