Thank you my friend i appreciate your hard work you have helped me with from setup to maintenance to take down for the winter. We set it up without leveling the ground because it was pretty level to begin with we wanted to see how everything went how the kids liked it how maintenance was and all went well especially with your help. Almost done with take down going to let it sit in the sun since its going to be in the 80s tomorrow in OCTOBER IN CT!!. Then im going to use this as an excuse to clean my shed and store this above ground. Thanks again!
Yup. I should have recessed the pavers under my legs. The longs sides started bowing in as it filled. Glad i didn't fill it up all the way. I do need to drain some of the water to take some weight off. Then i can make the top of the pavers level with the ground. Good video!!!!
I just set up mine, I leveled it by cutting fence siding into 15 inch pieces and put two of them per leg, then leveled each of them leg to leg. When we started filling the pool with water, both long sides bowed it, we were super worried but proceeded to fill, and finally when it was full the long sides went back to perfect and everything is level and straight now. 18x9 intex Pool
Last year our 14x48 wasn't leveled correctly and boy did we have issues! We ended up taking it down and now we're upgrading but we're doing this one right!😊
I started with a smaller pool for 2 years and got my supplies and technique dialed in. Now I'm looking for a bigger pool and this size is about right for a seasonal pool.
Thank you so much for this video. I had everything except for the hose adapters water inlet outlet stuff figured out. And the instructions in my opinion were crap. In fact, I didn’t even see instructions on this. I was a picture and that didn’t help. Thank you very much!
We've never had our sand wash away. Gravel is way more likely to puncture a hole in the bottom of the pool and is hard on the feet. Use foam tiles or a pool pad if you are worried about sand washing away. Don't use gravel
I really enjoyed your video, I forgot a few steps but you explained everything clearly. We have this same pool but I haven't set it up in a few years, thank you so much for this informative video.
Sir, (2) questions: 1) what was the material you used instead of sand on very bottom ? 2) the instructions ask for a 15" x 15" x 1.2" board Flushed with ground under 'U-Supports' ... So, this is not really necessary if you continually pull back 'U-Supports while filling ?? Thank- You really appreciate your knowledge.
Hello, I want to say thanks for inspiring us to get our own Intex above ground pool this year! Can I ask a question? I want to upgrade the pump and filter. Would you know if a Bestway Flowclear fits the Intex pipework please? Is it universal? Thank you. 😊
Hi, thanks for all the great videos! We bought a Bestway 18’ oval pool last year. We just started to open it up and are dealing with tears in the pool liner on under either side of “valve A”. This is obviously preventing it from sealing and the pool is leaking. Do you recommend a particular product? Thank you!
Thank you so much that's help me so much but I have a little problem the side stands even when I connect it with the pool but still open too much and the walls of the pool gets down with them what should I do ?
Great video - appreciate the help. One of the side bars on ours was not straight, but I saw a video of yours on digging out the dirt under the legs. It helped a lot thx 🙏🏽
We are just setting ours up. The tarp underneath the legs appear to collect water from when sprinklers run. I could definitely see this being a problem when it rains. Did you happen to fold or cut the tarp up to the liner? I don't see a lot of information out there on that specifically.
Hi! I feel less intimidated by this project now that I watched your video. Thank you so much!! I'm still uneasy about the leveling of the ground, but the pool set up doesn't look that bad. I will definitely watch your video on setting up the pump next. Thanks again. SingleMomStuff :)
Has anyone experienced the sand filter case splitting at the bottom? We fitted it in July 2024, it now has a 1 inch split on the bottom curve and no, we haven’t dropped it at any stage. Anyone have any idea how we can repair it ? We lost at least a lot of water.
The video was helpful but you really should say it takes 3 people to put up sides. One to hold each side the other to fasten legs underneath, if not as you pull up on one side other falls
I have the same problem. I actually called Intex and they weren't a hundred percent sure they said when the lazy legs are extended 12in more. I guess it depends who you get on the phone.
Your videos have been a huge help - any guidance on how to use the hose adaptor to drain my 18’ intex? Turns out I didn’t do the best job of leveling so I’m looking to drain and do this right. Started to drain with a submersible pump but would prefer to use garden hose. Thanks again for all the great content.
Do you have trouble with the water temperature in the summer? Living in the desert the water last year got too hot, would evaporate all chemicals and grew well, gross. Any advice there other than just build a real one?
Only things I can think of is covering it helps maintain some of the chemicals, but that may heat it up a bit more. Trying to put it in the shade may help a bit? But if the average temperature outside is high, the pool will just naturally settle there. In ground pool would definitely be cooler
We hooked up a second smaller intex pump with a modified hose end to create an aerator or spray fountain across the water it keeps our above ground pool cool enough to be refreshing in hot desert summer.
Like how much space from one of the U shaped supports to the other on the short side? I’ll measure real quick…. 21 and 5/8”. Between the 2 u shaped side supports 👍
@@dalesbackyardofficial hey I have one more question. It says the depth of this pool is 52inches depth. Does the water level go up to the 52inches or is it less?. I have a Coleman 48inch depth & I'm looking for one alil deeper.
@@dalesbackyardofficial When you show the box you don't keep the camera on long enough it goes to fast to see. Even if a person paused it the lettering is too small cannot zoom in on a paused UA-cam video.
This is the best video on the intex ultra install - Im seen, ever. thank you. You must be a professional pool installer - wow.
You had no help at all especially with the legs? 💪🏼

Omg ! Thanks I needed this set up video!!!
Any recommendations for setting up the 48x13x7 rectangular Intex pool??
You miss the very best tip for putting and (and taking down) these pools. Get plenty of talc on those poles before sliding them in.
Can I ask what specific items you use for maintaining this? Pool vacuum? Skimmer? Thanks in advance :)

The pool itself is 18x9 but what is the width of this pool with the frames fully extended out because I have limited space for this. Thanks
I show the dimensions on the box in the video with the side supports out. I don't remember off the top of my head, but it's in the video

It extends 19'-10" x 10'-10" I got this very same pool....bottom of the U bars end to end.

Mine keeps falling apart at the corners and we have two people assembling it. Could it be that the ground is not leve enough?
The corners are lose until it starts to fill with water, but shouldn’t fall apart
My intex frame (ultra xtr) sounds weird. like creaking noise when I swim a bit rough. I'm almost 200 lbs. Is that normal?
Mine creaked a bit too when swimming
Do you know if yor can have any seating in it?
How many gallons does it need to fill it up
Great video, helped me from start to finish. Hows the solar panel holding ip and do you recommend it after a few months of trying it?
Nice video 👍 where is the link to buy on Amazon? Im wondering what the price is and want to het this exact one

I show that at the beginning of the video. 👍
is it normal for the corners to fall out as its stitting with no water in it? it seems like mine has too much play and the corners won't stay in.
Without water, there’s a lot of movement in the corners
Perfect

The vinyl looks so thin before the water!
Do you have the exact measurements of the width not the length including the legs sticking out?

What are the extra flaps for on the bottom leg straps?

doesnt heat the water as much as id like it to but it still was worth the $13 for it.
So what did it look like at the end? What’s the bloody point ?
It’s a video showing how to set it up. You can see what it looks like in the video 👍 Glad to help
