Amen, a powerful and truthful message, it is so true that modern-day churches are now a concert gathering, the congregation prefers to be entertained, it's so bad now I once visited a churches where they had comedy Sunday, Christian comedy they call it now, many Pastors will lead there congregation laughing and giggling all the way to HELL, the teaching of the gospel can not be compromise, Jesus Christ died on the cross so we can be free, not to live in bondage, praise God for the Blood of Jesus Christ 🙏♥️🕊

I attended a small church and when i walked in at the very beginning of worship God Almighty directed my attention to the angels singing with our small choir comprised of a few adults and children. It was glorious!!!

When church music began to be about the community (horizontal) instead of being loving prarise hymns to God.(vertical), the sense of
sacredness left the churches.

All of these churches with live shows are just that! Live shows, and not worship of our Lord. I was a musician for much of my sinful life, and what these folks think is wishop is self worship. creation of a "Holier than thou" atmosphere is not worship of God, but worship of self. I know, I lived it, and am now free of it. Thank You Lord Jesus!

Wow I generally agree eith several elements in the video herein for once!
Worship music is for Heart, Mind, Soul and Strength. Not all the Psalms were complex, some were simple. They SHOULD be true to the word and attach emotion to it. There should be intellectual integrity in the lyrics, but there is as much problem with that in the teachings that are going on. And even old Hymns can be ridiculous for content. You shall worship the Lord with all you heart, soul, mind and strength. Music adds the heart to the mind. They should both be faithful. All teachings should be faithful too. We must be circumspect and alert, but we do not need another inquisition.
David danced before God ( actually in front of the ark on the streets of Jerusalem) and not in the Temple.
God wishes us to be joyful in His presence and not just be happy.
Happiness is a response to a pleasant stimuli, while joyfulness springs from within. In which sense happiness is superficial, whereas, joy is longlasting, a result of the work of " The Living Water" springing forth in the heart.
There is no record of Jesus embracing any woman in the Bible. I think that this ominous allusion is from the great Deceiver ( Satan himself). This is unlikely, because, open display or closeness between the male and female genders was not the norm in Biblical times.

Why is it that in these churches it is always women that are demon possessed, yet during the times of Jesus he took out demons and healed all sorts of people?

The lord bestows musical gifts on his people to praise him, and he expects them to be skillful with it, not just so so un practiced novices with very little skillful development.
Musical praise is sacred thing and should be treated as such , not put down as one just trying to show off their skills. Jeaously of praise musicians often rears its ugly head in many churches , as many novices who are un willing to put in the time to get skillful put down a praise musician for their abilities.
As a praise and worship musician I have often faced this criticism directly and indirectly of being a show off and playing to loud. When this is said to me I will point them to Psalms 33, and let the scripture correct them for their error. To be skillful one has to spend many hours alone in practice while others are doing other things. Many in Church just do want to sacrifice their time to get skillful. Things like boating ,fishing, sports etc. are more important to many than practicing to get skillful.
This not to say that there are not some with the wrong motives who involved in praise and worship and doing things for their own glory.

i'm so sick and tired of entertainment on Sunday morning, I don't attend church to be entertained.
Perhaps your music praise team is not right, or you are not in the right spirit if worship during praise and worship, just saying. You heart will reveal to you not me.

We must not be disputing over the gospel yes, it not about me me me but there is corporate worship worldwide where everyone comes together in one accord giving praise to the most High God it's all about intimacy and having our own quiet time with God and building a relationship with Him everyone's encounter is gonna be totally different from the other it's not a religious show of how much we can sing and shout but a posture of the heart with humility

After over 40 years of leading P&W, I know that singing His Word from the bible is true worship. Most songs and lyrics are pathetic today. I try to use His Word in worship as much as possible. His Word is always acceptable to Him!

We don’t realize it but the church will go full circle for God will never be mocked. We or our future generations will come to live in a time where true Christ seeking will be feverishly seen as righteous & courageous. They’ll be a time where our physical temporary safety or that of our loved ones will be truly & blindly entrusted to God will, and his faithful willing to lay down their life if need be & God allows as long as their eternal salvation is faithfully appreciated. They’ll be the ones to inherit God New Jerusalem & be welcomed to sit at his Heavenly banquet. I came across a video short by Juanita Bynum, concerning how dressing & musical productions in some churches are doing just what this video short is speaking on! I was appalled! I continue to look for a home church that doesn't cross that line, it's becoming hard! Glory to God, Amen.

Good morning I believe true worship is a posture of one's own heart. Not everyone can worship and praise God the same way we have to praise and worship Him Jehovah God from our own experiences and the challenges that face every individual. That's why the psalmist David could praise and worship God so much

It is all by HIS GRACE alone. I believe that's why one of his requests from us is that we pray. Pray for others. PRAY ALWAYS. For all things. To give us HIS DESIRE in prayer, not my own desire. My desire is selfish. His desire is lovely. Brings JOY. Brings peace. Fills with Love. His Self.

Yet communal worship is necessary, too. "Jesus went, as was His custom, to the synagogue on the Sabbath." There they sang " hymns and Psalms and inspired songs", as well as reading sacred scripture. Saint Paul urges all to worship in community.
Personal prayer, mental prayer, vocal prayer and communal prayer were all practiced by Our Lord Jesus Christ, His followers, and even the prophets before Him. So let's find beauty in it all, with our hearts centered on God!

Last Sunday at a church I visited the man on the keyboard was positioned in the center of the front aisle, was standing as he played and belted out lyrics as if he was John Legend. It was very off putting. The "pastor"also boldly proclaimed she has been appointed to pastor at another church which is "inclusive " and believes Jesus is for everybody. Needless to say I won't be returning to the latest synagogue of satan.
I have attended many churches throughout my 75 years. There was one church that really wanted people to truly worship God. The song leader and musicians all faced the same direction as the congregation. I thought that was awesome.

Wow. I've often wondered why this isn't done - Imagine if ALL of them did that in every service! It sounds obvious and yet hardly any do it. Too many 'superstar' worship leaders .... and equally worrying, their 'groupies' who you have to wonder who they're actually worshipping. Why isn't this more acknowledged and dealt with. Many modern lyrics just sound like sensual R&B tunes.
@@oliviastar3812 I agree completely. In some churches the music is amplified so loud that I had to leave. I really think it’s more of a stage performance than true worship. True worship can happen without music if the hearts of the congregation are truly wanting to lift up Christ and pour their love out to Him. Singing songs to God are fine but perhaps the leaders and musicians should all be facing the same way as the congregation. Bottom line is that the focus should be on God, not some performers.
@@fishnlady I've had to use earplugs @ times when the music has been too loud 🔊 I heard an episode of Focus on the Family a while ago during which the featured guest explained that the loud music is by design....The goal is to obliterate/ overwhelm the thoughts of the worshippers.

I believe that there is safety in the old church choir which has been removed for the most part. Instead there is focus and promotion of individual talented people so that the focus is more on the person and self glorification. This can set the trap for fostering a prideful nature. Being part of a large choir many voices as one voice exalts God rather than the individual. Humility and reverence is needed and is better promoted in a harmonious choir.

@@SybilDeligny-cz3br Thank you, I have written a 58 page booklet on the Modern critical minority manuscript text based private copyrighted altered bibles.
However I never published it. I spent over three years researching biblical history from old books in Libraries, old book stores , and older Encyclopedias that proper information ,not altered, that have not been edited and slanted. ( After an incident that happen a few years back when i was teaching a middle school class at a local Chrisitan school ). What I found ,and what was going on in many Churches with these modern private copyrighted bibles, shocked me.
This prompted me put this information in a booklet which grew from a few pages to 58 , as I discovered more and more shocking things. and still I have not covered all things .
I tried to put the most of what I though would wake up Christians as to how they have been deceived by private copyrighted bibles promoted by publishers.
Sadly though not many wanted to hear what I had found. Not many Christians either have the time or the desire to seek the truth in this deception or even know of it, as I had been for many years, and many are lead astray by preachers who them selves do not know or want to know or afraid to speak the truth of it.

Skillful musicians playing with a loud noise is biblically based in scripture, contrary to many Christians beliefs and their lack of knowledge of scripture. The lord bestows musical gifts on his people to praise him, and he expects them to be skillful with it, not just so so un practiced novices with very little skillful development.
Musical praise is sacred thing and should be treated as such , not put down as one just trying to show off their skills. Jeaously of praise musicians often rears its ugly head in many churches , as many novices who are un willing to put in the time to get skillful put down a praise musician for their abilities.
As a praise and worship musician I have often faced this criticism directly and indirectly of being a show off and playing to loud. When this is said to me I will point them to Psalms 33, and let the scripture correct them for their error. To be skillful one has to spend many hours alone in practice while others are doing other things. Many in Church just do want to sacrifice their time to get skillful. Things like boating ,fishing, sports etc. are more important to many than practicing to get skillful.
This not to say that there are not some with the wrong motives who involved in praise and worship and doing things for their own glory.

Afew years ago, God spoke to me about "worshipping in Spirit and in Truth". Since then, I can't sing or listen to "praise and worship" songs that do not genuinely sing Praises to God nor are genuinely worshipping and singing to God.

I agree with this. I miss the old hymns that have far more truth, God’s truth.

The narrator has described exactly what I've seen in today's megachurches. From a local television news report:
"MAUMEE -- A local pastor convicted of drunk driving is back home. Pastor Michael Pitts spent nine days in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio after state troopers pulled him over last December. He was released over the weekend.
The case began in December 2006. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Pitts was driving on US 20A in western Lucas County just east of the county line when he stopped for a routine vehicle inspection. The trooper said he smelled alcohol, and did a field sobriety test.
The results of that test caused the trooper to take Pitts into custody, and take him to the Highway Patrol Post on Airport Highway. Their breathalyzer machine there was broken, so troopers say Pitts provided a urine sample that was sent to Columbus for analysis. A urine test confirmed Pitts was legally drunk although he told the court he only drank two glasses of wine.
Pitts pleaded "no contest," and Judge Gary Byers found him guilty and sentenced him to 9 days in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio in Stryker. The judge also fined Pitts $300 and took away his driver's license indefinitely. Pitts can petition state to get license back.
Pitts has been found guilty of driving under the influence once before. He also pleaded "no contest" in April of 1998 to two charges of criminal trespassing in a case where he was accused of exposing himself at Oak Openings Metropark. The deal threw out several charges of indecent exposure. The prosecution in his trial had rested its case, and the defense had begun calling witnesses when the plea deal was struck.
Similar indecent exposure charges in Wauseon and Toledo were thrown out."

I ttuly was skeptical going into this video but i am surely glad i watched it. Because i belong to a church that is currently being maligned into oblivion because most people say it is boring. It has led to alot of peolle esp the youth leaving the church in droves. But i believe in it because, they don't try to make a show of its worship service. And they have remained steadfast in the way they have done it for centuries!
I've noticed the slack of dressing up for one hour! Anymore, preachers are wearing tighter cloths, jeans and the women are wearing stilleto heels! When we go to a friend or family members wedding, don't we dress up? I do, I dress very nice. SO what's the deal on Sundays? Why can't people take an hour or more out of the week and dress up for Christ????
I agree, for those who can afford to dress up (some believers don't have such a luxury). We also shouldn't come to church dressed like we're trying to attract a mating partner.
But just like Moses bronze serpent, Gideons fleece, and the Pharisaical Law, it would become an idol. After a while, instead of dressing up to honor God people would dress up to illicit praise from eachother and compare themselves to one another.
The flesh is hopelessly sinful. Even when we avoid that which is overtly sinful and shameful the flesh never ceases to find secret ways to sin and instead of bringing it to the light to show how we are no less in need of Christ than the worst of us we hide it so that God does not look inadequate. It's purely a human way of thinking. We do the redemptive power of Christ a great dishonor in this.

Clothing styles have nothing to do with God; it's about relationship with God. A lot of dressed-up people don't have a relationship with God. Some people think it's about going to the building. If God’s word doesn't take root and bear spiritual fruit then your attendance and time you spend in the building is in vain. I use the word building instead of church is because we are the church which is where judgment will begin. Come as you are and look to God to help make the change.

But like I said in a previous comment, we should not come together at "church" looking like we're trying to attract a mating partner or to make others gawk at us or make them envious of us on account of our bodily adornment, or lack there of. What do you think Paul is getting at in 1Timothy 2:9? The last thing we want to do when we come together is to arouse eachother into impure thoughts. It being done in ignorance in the beginning is excusable.
I agree. I find myself one of the few people who still bothers to put on a nice dress and heels. No, it’s not about the clothes, but we have become too casual about everything concerning God these days.
None of what they do is in scripture. The New Testament church established by Jesus did none of the dancing and falling out all over one another. This has been a long standing tradition to bring entertainment and excitement pandering to people’s flesh. Church is supposed to be an institution of learning and it’s more about social status and attention to self. If Jesus came back right now convince me he would sit amongst all the dancing and foolishness we see going on today.

I had to leave the church in which I was raised due to the music. To me, the sanctuary became more an auditorium than a place of worship. The old hymns contain much scripture which are not in the new choruses. This saddens me.
I visited a store front church once and all they had was a drummer. I felt God’s presence more in that church than many other churches that had more people and musicians.

I used to go to a Church of God church in a small town. The things I experienced in that church was awesome! That’s were I was Baptized and Baptized in the Spirit. I was also given the privilege to meet a real Angel
I am blessed that I go to a church that preaches the actual gospels and doesnt water down anything. I know these false doctrinal churches exist and are growing, singing songs , etc... I went once to a neighbors church who since passed , he was a good man but when I went there it made me very uncomfortable

Why do some big churches turn off their lights in time of worship? I don't find this spiritual. It's like a worldly concert. It's not comfortable. I do feel so supportive of this video. It's so true. I do love to Worship our LORD and sometimes some lyrics and songs cannot do much for my soul during worship no matter how hard I try in my heart to connect.
