Hallo!!
The first song really moves me.Can any one tell me the name of the first song? Dutch and English? Also, what would the English translation be? Or where can I find it?Thanks
I can't find the English version. On the website ZIDZ you can find the (Dutch) lyrics
+ourloney --I was able to find the words. Someone was kind enough to send them to me. I haven't been able to locate the music that they use here. There is at least one other tune they use, but to me, at least, it isn't near as good as this version. It's the Dutch song version of a Scottish poem by Robert M. McCheyne called 'I amDebtor'. I believe the translation is by Google--so it may not be the best. The original by McCheyne is here. www.hymntime.com/tch/htm/w/t/p/wtpwidon.htm 1.If the world ends here and its sun goes down, if we in the glory seeing God at the time, first thank and acknowledge, what I oweyou. 2. When I hear of evil Bee: "Mountains, cover us for the pain."; when I see their fear and terror in their last moment, first thank and acknowledge, what I owe you. 3. If I thy Holy Throne stand in 't bridal gown of your Son; You may see me as perfect, my immoderate love Bien, first thank and acknowledge, what I owe you. 4. When I hear heaven's hymn, as a booming voice in my ear, loud as waat'ren in their way, sweet as pure harp singing, 5. Show on nature 'in darkness How Your brilliance is reflected; I taste your pardon ' and Your Spirit, make me strong ' grant that I now recognition" I am indebted.
Dave Decker Many thanks for this, The original are mighty words by a young Murray McChene, but obviously don't fit the tune. These Dutch are fine singers of the Gospel.
Zangers uit Urk zijn allemaal zeer begaafd. Zij verdienen allen een Koninklijke Onderscheiding. Afzender: Nico van Harten uit Utrecht. (Wijk Kanaleneiland).
